Spurs "fans" all gone by 85 mins, I know its hard to take a 4-1 loss, but theres no way City fans would leave on 85 mins, not after what we've seen over the years.

I'm still confused by the Bale goal though. Surely it was a penalty with a sending off but the ref decided to play advantage as the ball went in the net. Once that has played out he should then go back to the foul and deal with it, as he would anywhere else on the pitch.

Combine that with the non-goal goal and you could see why 'Ole Arry won't be happy.

He has to be booked at least surely. Red and a goal for me.But Atkinson might not have seen it which is currently his norm and confirmed again when he only booked Mikel for a straightforward kick on Parker. He must have guessed what went on and booked him.The guys a comedian.

IMHO Chec should've gone, we've had this before, he fouls him to stop him scoring, the fact that it falls to Bale and he puts it away is irrelevant. You can card a player after allowing play-on.

Well he denied Adebayor a goal scoring opportunity. Now, I might be wrong, but I think the wording is "attempting to deny a goal scoring opportunity"

Apparently once you've played the advantage you can't act retrospectively except for violent conduct. So he had two choices pull up play and send off Cech with Spurs risking a missed penalty and Chelsea shutting up shop or allow the advantage which was certain to result in a goal. I think he did the right thing. On the second Chelsea goal he just guessed and made an utter prat of himself.

So how did that villa player get booked for a foul on Scholes after the ref played an advantage?
