Roberto Mancini's "oh, the league is finished, United will win the title" comments.
Thoughts? Anyone here getting irritated by his "oh, the league is finished, United will win the title" comments, when it is obviously not?

Mind games or not, he looks like a cock...if anything, it will further motivate us.

I think mind games are a load of bollocks.
Just give the media something to talk about. The effect they have on the players is minimal.

As was said on the radio this morning, Bob is saying its over to the press because that is what the press have been saying for the past few weeks. A kind of, "Well you fuckers were the ones who said its over, so ever time you ask me I'll quote you!"

If we do win the league I can see him reeling out the line again when interviewed just to take the piss and give a big two fingers to the press.

Spoke to a rag this morning, who had a ticket for the derby.

He said, 'I might not go actually, think I'd prefer to watch it at home - I'll probably give my ticket away'.

They are cacking it. Really hope I get the chance to stick it to the scumbags who posted pictures of 'City crumble', and '20' signs.

These guys really need a massive fall, and I wanna be there to volley them in the chops and stamp on their necks when they do. Figuratively speaking, of course....

I think he meant it 1st time he said it.

Then he saw our boys lift and the shite falter and just ran with it. They're having a little wobble under the pressure just like we did and bobby is turning up the heat. I love it.

Can you imagine how funny that would be...

Andy Burton: so Roberto, how does it feel to be league champions?

Bobby: eez not important, united is champions and we have no spirit.

Andy burton: but roberto you've won it.

Bobby: united is always the winner, always.

The day clubs can negotiate their own tv deals is the day the rag bias dies for ever and mind games become history. The only reason mind games exist is because of Sky and the BBC and also to some extent the written media but once the cash cow for the rags in the form of Sky and BBC is taken away the tabloids will have to start working for a story.

I think he's playing it very cool by relaxing the pressure on our players it's helping them but I think against wolves they sensed they were back in with a chance and nearly bottled it, don't think I've got the nerve to watch the game on monday.

Ha ha ha, I like those sentiments. Being afraid is natural but beating those fears is what will make us as fans the strength that drives us on.

Mancini is doing really well and I don't think we started to bottle it yesterday, we just needed the goal. With the amount of chances we had from the off it looked as though it wasn't one of those days, especially for Sergio. But we kept on and Aguero showed what he's made off, the ball from Clichy just being pure class. What you've got to remember is that we were away from home against a battling Wolves, this was there last chance and they weren't going to give up infront of their loyal fans. We've not quite got that Rag factor yet and they will run all day to at least show they tried.

Very nice post though mate, it shows how hard and how much this season has taken out of us.

The battle of the mind games is at full strength right now.

Mancini recently: "I don't have a message for Sir Alex. If I did it would only be 'Congratulations for your season and for this title'!"

Fergie recently: This is the biggest derby ever.

Each are trying to pile the pressure on the other and the other squad.

Its also the day they make a fucking fortune worldwide selling their own rights ala Madrid and Barca.

Be careful what you wish for.
