How much of each day are you spending.....

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

How much of each day are you spending.....

Postby Piccsnumberoneblue » Thu Apr 26, 2012 8:41 am

......thinking about City at the mo?
How to beat the shite.
Will we freeze at Newcastle if we're top?
Will QPR be able to fuck us up?
Is Mario worth a risk?
How much Tevez and Sergio should run riot against Evans and Rhombus Gob?
NDJ or Barry?
Nasri to start or not?
Newcastle to be in with a shout by next weekend or not?
How does Chelsea getting to the Champions League final change things?
How much you are gonna give it those rag bastards if we do it.
If we don't beat the filth is their still a way back?
Can Swansea do summat at the flea pit?

All these thoughts are meandering around my mind virtually every waking moment.
I'd say around eighteen to nineteen hours a day at the moment.
I'm even off work now til after the game, so I haven't even got that small distraction from the real issue of the day.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

Me too on most of those counts. It's tough being at the top isn't it. No matter what happens this is what's called 'experience' and will equip us for future title (and champs league) battles. So far we have shown great courage to claw out way back into it but what lies ahead will be character building. Make no mistake, win or lose this title bid, we will be back with a vengeance next season having learnt from the mistakes we have made this term. The future is very bright

Good point Oliver. You've got to be in it to win it, and we are in it. If we don't do it this year, we'll definitely do it next. If we do win it this year, we'll definitely win it next.

I am trying as much as i can to think of something else untill Saturday or Sunday, but it's almost impossible. Everywhere i go to take my lunch break i see invitations from different pubs to come there to see the Monday game, constant ironic texts with my rag friends & so on.

I think i have 1313123 scenarios in my head with this three fixtures remaining, but only one keeps showing over and over again. There was a while back an interview with Noel on mcfc, where he said he was talking to some members from the board, after the cup semi last year, and he was convinced that typical City will fuck things up & they said that no, typical City is in the past. So my constant thought is that if we win on monday night, we will go and win it all, we won't fuck things up at Newcastle.

One thought that whizzes round my head way too much is, perhaps the revival is a set up. The big 'MNF' from The Etihad was looking in danger of being one big wet fart. Now it is billed as "THE big one." Bigger than all other 'Big Ones' that have gone before.
Is it all preordained and this resurgence will mean nothing to us but plenty to those with vested interests?

I am spending a lot of time thinking about Newcastle. Hoping to fuck they beat Chelsea and Bolton fight for there premier league survival against spuds and take points off them.

It's fucking mental that we have the scum on Monday with the opportunity of going top (something I wrote off a while ago) and I am taking it as a forgone conclusion that we will beat them and I'm worried about Newcastle. How times have fucking changed. I hope Swansea play the way I know they can and get something against the scum and I think if we beat Newcastle (early kick off) the scum might just bottle it against Swansea anyway. The scum are shit and we are the best team in Europe, barca are gash FACT.

Fuck sake we're gonna win the league. Liverpool win the CC, Chelsea in the CL and FA cup final, we win the league and they win ermmmmmmm........the community shield HAHAHAHAHA.

Am overloaded at work & helping a new guy sort things out, i'm painting the main room at home, trying to get someone to come and fix the phone, running around to take care of someone's cats while they're away, and desperately need to get to the dentist. Add to that planning a trip for the summer, evening entertainments, following the Mets, and maybe having some kind of sex life with the missus. So just occasionally these things intrude into my almost constant fantasies about YaYa scoring after 14 seconds on Monday, City going three up ten minutes later, 5-0 by half time, Rooney getting sent off and Fergie banished to the stands, the rags streaming out in despair, Balotelli coming on for a second-half hat-trick, crowd shouting "we want ten", Swansea winning 2-0 at the swamp while City win comfortably at Newcastle, and the game v QPR being a big fancy dress celebration of City winning the league.

I usually think about City whilst I'm doing everything, & in fact am right in the middle of doing something now but still typing about City, so it's just a more exciting version of normality for me.

I keep thinking about the derby, but that's about it. Newcastle game seems like next year yet, it can wait till the whistle on Monday.
Rationally I can't see how the rags can live with City,we outgun them and we can outpass and outplay them. Then again it is a derby which constantly confound rationality.. it is all down to turning up, wanting it more, settling down, playing your game, effing reffing, mistakes, balloons, cats, pidgeons, foxes, rain, snow.. NO! rationally I can't see how the rags can live with City,we outgun them and we can outpass and outplay them. Then again it is a derby...

I keep thinking......I suppose at my age, one has to thankful I can still do that.....:-)

Gillie is also thinking.....Bit of a late starter but at least he finally tried it.

Roger, you are a lovely feller but a born worrier. It is your constant worrying that will eventually cause you to look like Gillie and the reason why you will never attain the "handsome superstar" qualities that I have. Suggest you put your gay power ranger's outfit on, get on the bike and go sit on a rock somewhere on't th'ills, take in the wonderful scenery and chill mate.

This game may appear the biggest ever today but in reality, considering where we are aiming at, it is only a hurdle to climb over on the way to bigger games. The rags may seem like a cliff face this weekend Mate, but the truth is they a merely a stepping stone.

When you're on your rock, dream of the CL Final in the next couple of Years, Vinnie lifting that huge trophy and getting bladdered and crying in Albert Square.

Great thread this,
I keep waking up at 3 a.m. and thinking cmon City we can do this. the other night I dreamed there were two coach loads of City fans going from Oswestry to The derby , I think over the years there has only ever been a handful of us, whereas those cunts have run a coach to Cold Trafford from Oswestry since the seventies fucking morons.
Cant stop thinking about it the only worry I have got is this , the last time a game dominated my mind so much was the Spuds game for 4th spot and we all know the outcome of that one.

I can handle what's going on in my head

It's the constant churning in my stomach which has been there since Sunday that is pissing me off

I just wish we could fast forward to the end of the season

Going to this derby is like a visit to the dentist

You know you have to go but in the waiting room you can't help thinking of bolting for the exit
