the 'plan b' player we need in europe next season? rather get him than, the unproven, hazard....

I'd have him just ahead of Hazard as a signing priority but Levy will play seriously hard with us, it would drag on all summer and I reckon he'd cost us £15/20 Mil more. With the cost factored in I'd make Hazard a slightly better bet.

He'll definitely leave spurs, I reckon.

as soon as Harry's gone...Modric, Bale and probably 2-3 others will be looking for outs as well.

Modric to the rags i think. They really need him.

Modric is a very good player but no Dave Silva.

Which is hard because since March or so Dave Silva's been no Dave Silva either.

Freaky sci-fi shit that it is...

cheers

I think Bale is an ideal signing for us, simply because we don't have anything remotely like him & also if Kolarov goes we have very few reliable free kick takers. He isn't comparable to Hazard though; two entirely different players imo.

He's also one of the worst left backs in the world defensively but not that much worse than Kolarov, so we could play him there occasionally if we felt the need to totally fuck up the left side of our defence, or as a wing back.

If we could cash in on all the players we don't use & one or two who've not really cut it (perhaps replace a couple with youngsters promoted or veterans rather than spending big) then we could afford to add both Bale & Hazard & still have our main team intact without going too much over budget. Then we only need play Silva in half as many games. We would have to either keep Dzeko or sign a similar striker if we signed Bale though. To sign a crosser like him then not have a CF at least in the squad would be stupid.

All depends on who's leaving though. Interesting that Tevez was doing a community programme thingy with Lakey & loads of kids yesterday, on his own. Never noticed him ever do any solo community projects before. Perhaps he wants to stay ? In which case the transfer budget is cut somewhat.

'Arry has already dismissed these exit rumours because when Bale and Modric joined, Spurs were "nowhere near" the Champions League places, and anyway if they really wanted/deserved CL football they would get it with their own club. Deluded twat.

Tottenham Hotspur and the Incredibly Shrinking Ambitions.

i firmly believe tevez is staying, although his performances do seem to have a "shop window" edge to them

I semi agree about bale and dzeko but there is more to crosses than simply having a lanky fucker get his head on the end of them in the current game

Bale is a winger who can beat a man with speed and put a cross in, he is a big strong player.
Hazard can play on the wing and beat men with skill aswell as speed, is a year younger and I think could be moulded into a silva type player with minimum fuss and he can use both feet.

They both provide big goal threats and can destroy teams on a good day.

Bale is so injury prone though I don't think he would be available for more than 2/3rds of the season.
Hazard is TINY (5ft 7") and might not be able to handle the physical side of the prem (especially with refs hating us and not blowing for obvious fouls/assault)

Overall bale is a safer option but hazard is just a better football player and would suit mancini's style of play better.

Personally I would prefer to sign hazard and let someone else pay more for bale but fuck it, let's just sign both.

Johnson, Adebayor & a bit of cash for Bale is a great shout

Then get Hazard in too. Makes me laugh the reports saying that we are "trying to pip United to Hazard".....two teams both top quality. One getting better with fantastic players, the other needing to significantly invest to keep its primacy and has Carrick, Scholes and Giggs in their prime.....One has zero decent widemen, the other already has Nani and Valencia....oh and one can pay a lot more

I know which one I'd want to go to....esp if my international captain already captained that team

Give over ^^^

He's a decent prospect at best. He scored a couple of goals recently, but all he normally does is run into blind alleys and disappear. He's not even as good as Adam Johnson. People are far too quick to jump on any bandwagon.

this is a demi-whumming rant of mine on last season's end (may 14th).

Before we try to get Bale, Hazard, Cavani, Llorente or whomsoever, we first need a top class centre-half.

Need I say it, but the number one priority has to be Neven Subotic.
