Better than starting off with a defensive team who didn't manage a shot on target

Hand over heart I thought he played it perfectly and was happy with the changes. They were coming into it and De Jong/Richards stifled them and allowed us to play on the counter.

Me too. The one-of-the-front-four-player-off-for-de-Jong-to-move-Yaya-up-the-pitch-move is very effective and has been used by Bobby all season. I welcomed it when I saw it. It gives us more security defensively without sacrificing too much going forward.

Agreed, found myself on board with his subs whilst the game was in progress and am certainly on board with them now.

And no Balotelli so 10/10 for Bob!

van Hanegem is such a bitter demented twat living in the past on the fumes of his "fame" he scored two free kicks in the seventies and fucked up Utrecht when they were decent and only needed steering in the right direction, he has no right to talk about any fucking thing! i really think he is on for comedy value for the neutrals...and Wim fucking Kieft saying why did Bob pick Zabba and not somebody who can actually play football,...WIM FUCKING KIEFT questioning Zabas ability?!?!...what?...i would be livid if we hadn't won! haha.

That wasn't a fully defensive substitution... yeah, De Jong is a defensive midfielder, but that change allows Yaya to push up the field and frees him from defensive responsibility and make those runs at the back 4... which he did and nearly scored twice... they know nothing these pricks

Poles certainly have shifted. Even talkshite couldn't think of anything to slag us off over, so they concentrated on slagging sir bacons tactics. What was really funny though halfway down the M6 was a guy phoned up saying he was a rag and wanted to defend red noses tactics. "How can you possibly defend them" said the talkshite crew. "he had to go defensive" came the reply. "City are a far better team and if we'd attacked we would have got slaughtered, like we did at home". The talkshite crew got quite upset.

i had no issues with Nige coming on. we clearly needed something to reinforce the midfield and shield the back four.

I'll be honest and say I thought Kun shoulda been the one to make way.

He looked out on his feet, but fair play he found his 2nd wind and worked his arse off!

He did win the Dutch league with Feyenoord though, as well as the Dutch cup twice. I'm curious to what he said though.

Surely everyone knows why this is now? Even journo Mick Dennis on SSN today knows that the DeJong option sends Yaya further forward, nearly leading to our second goal. Makes the opposition more cautious for fear of being hammered (again). Even Tévez has worked it out!
