Can We Do It?

Postby Niall Quinns Discopants » Tue May 01, 2012 3:58 am

So can we? I think these last two games truly telll us whether "typical City" is dead or not.

What do you think, Champions or not?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Nearly started a thread wondering where you were :)

In all honesty for the last month I've been trying not to wish think or hope we could so I'm not disappointed. So for me even sat top with two to go I still refuse to believe.

A "Typical City" scenario is we beat Newcastle and tie with QPR, giving Utd a last gasp victory. But there is no more Typical City as long as we have the iron will of Mancini driving us on, and Utd are wobbling badly. We have them in our grip.

I put money on us to win it back in August but still have little expectation.

Beat Newcastle and we'll talk.

I think we'll do it but it won't be a simple we win 2, they win 2.

Meant to log in after the game but family was sleeping so I put some mellow music on, jammed on my own, had few drinks and some chips and eventually passed out to sofa. Started this topic almost immediately after I had woken up (to my son sticking his finger to my ear).

Sure we "can"....the more important part is that I think it's increasingly likely that we "will"

I'm actually glad we have to play both QPR and Newcastle.....would rather them than two seemingly innocuous fixtures that the team may subconsciously think they would stroll

The players know that both the barcodes and QPR will give us a real game and so I don't think we'll go at it with anything less than total focus...and that's where we are at our best

Can we win? Yes we can. The Real question is who is the ref vs the barcodes?

Newcastle still have got something to play for, they need to win. QPR, with Sparky, Barton, Onouha and SWP, yeah, I can see them wanting a victory over us as well. We can definitely do this though. Heads down and work our socks off.

No. Being top of the league with two games to play, I can't see how we can possibly win it. It's been a good season anyway, lads. Next year it's ours.

EDIT: That post was unnecessarily pissy. Yes, I think we'll win it. I've thought so ever since Shaun Maloney and Serge rippled the onion bag st more or less the same time.

Deffo we can.

Newcastle is a tough game though, so I don't think 'typical City' would come into the equation if we failed to get a result there. 'Typical City' would be beating them & losing to QPR !

I think we buried 'typical City' when we beat the rags in the semi anyway, never mind last night.

yes we WILL, of course we CAN, but we WILL!

I reckon however another twist to come! It will be close very close and I think the goal difference will do it and not by the 8 we have now, just one or two!
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Between Newcastle playing for fourth, QPR hoping to survive and Sunderland being 50% ex-United, I still make them favourites.

I was a bit worried before the Wigan/Newcastle game. Now I think we should do it.
