We are not yet Champions.

Just sayin.

it needed another thread maybe for people to realize it...who's not excited? who doesn't know in their hearts that we CAN do it?

And yet, we still have to play the game.

Can everyone try and find some humility until we're sticking it up em and ahead by a few goals with 88 minutes gone, god-willing? (and yes i'm an Atheist, but just go there with me please)

can't imagine what this weekend will be like...i can think of practically NOTHING else and i have a LOT of personal and work shit going on this week which is actually super important. Something will break i'm sure. I just hope it's not City. ;)

cheers

After that amazing win yesterday my anxiety is already kicking in big time again. I am dreading for us to lose or draw at home to QPR and United scraping a 0:1 victory at Sunderland.

Just wondering how all this is being perceived in the US. Is it big news or there some other unilateral world series
dominating the sports pages ?

I am scared like hell because of this game. The main reason is Hughes & his link with Kia, Tevez, etc. I think he will want to show the board they did a mistake with him and will try to take that point he really needs. He did it last year with Fulham and will want to do the same now.

On the other hand, our home form, our wake up call with Sunderland, the pressure that will come from the supporters, i think will crush QPR. If you ask me, they had never faced something like what it will be on Sunday.

The boys are too concentrated to fuck things up (i hope).

Despite Your point is mathematically indisputable, after seeing this thread started I can't prevent myself from coming here and shout a huge:

I F***G LOVE YOU AND YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR, DOOMIE!
whether You are actually concerned about superstitious issues or not. It doesn't matter.

I might go down to the stadium on sunday, no ticket, just stand about outside for 90 mins with a radio. Perhaps City will put the game on a big TV outside, or atleast put some sort of alternate venue up for people who want to experience it all.

Could you imagine losing on the final day? I couldn't even imagine it my mood would be so shit it's unreal, to come so close then to lose to one off the shittest away form team in the premiership I'd be in tatters, everyone expects the win but fears the worst!

We laughed at rags buying 2012 winners t shirts, you turn on SSN and there are city fans who have done the same. Now I'm sure we will win it, but to think its done and dusted until the fat lady has opened her mouth is a bit fucking stupid.

Quick question - did ssn ever show these t shirts that the rags made weeks ago?

I bet they fucking didn't. They'll try everything to make this game as difficult as possible for the fairytale finish they really want for their beloved team.

Shame it won't work. Because our team is fucking immense.

That said, the cunts with the t shirts are just that. Cunts.

I'm all for boasting and shouting in house, but that shit helps the media.

They showed loads of the twats with banners and shi*, can't remember if I saw tshirts but probably.

But I have noticed that in the build up to the Newcastle game, Newcastle were hyped up to be far better than they actually are and now the same is happening with QPR. whether or not that is to overhype the title race or to build the pressure on MCFC i don't know. I suspect the former though. The bigger the interest the bigger the profits...

truthfully, it's bigger news because it's United that we're potentially about to unseat, AND because City play an amazing game which appeals to Americans -- e.g. we fucking go balls out at times, and look like scoring 10, and American's love a bit of the "ole in/out" as they say.

Is it "bigger" now? i think in my 7-8-ish years of supporting City and following the Prem it's the most i've ever seen. In fact, this Winter there was even a NYTimes article about City, which is unusual to say the least.

City have America's ear...and if we go on and win the title we'll see a fuckload of glory hunters come out of the woodwork here in the States, bigtime. I won't complain a lot, tho i can tell you that i'll have some really odd conversations with them i can assure you.

And truthfully, the NHL and NBA playoffs are a total yawnsome festival this spring anyway. Biggest sports news is Chicago Bulls meltdown due to the league MVP doing his ACL, and everyone alive hoping Lebron James fucks up and loses again because he is probably the biggest hate figure in American sports.

cheers

EDIT: apologies, but my usage of "American's" implies it's a Dutch signpost, whereas it's just a mistake.

P.S.S. Fuck you Mancio...i'm funny, but i'm not posting comedy in creating this thread my friend.
