Mancini is turning out to be top notch wind up merchant! I love it!
“The winners always deserve to win,” Mancini said. “We have played the better football, even if we don’t win. But I agree with him [Ferguson]. I’m Italian and I can’t change my mentality.
“He’s Scottish, he’s the best manager in the world and I agree with him, but it’s important that we score enough goals to win the title. That’s more important.

Yes, I'll be pleased to see him invited back given his contribution to getting us where we are now.
A few embarassing gaffs, more a business-man than a football-man, but we needed someone like that.

Bobby's absolute class ain't he. You can tell by those interviews that the press are really starting to warm to him and it can only bode well for us in the future.
As for Garry Cook, yes he's made mistakes but he's the one who set a lot of things in motion and I'm greatful for his part in getting us this far. He'll get a very warm welcome from me and from personal experience I can say he's a very decent man who only had the good of the club at heart.
Welcome back Gazza.

The sustained future of CITY is very largely dependent on sustained commercial growth - with the need for a rapid increase a couple of years ago and year on year growth of 40 - 50%. It used to drive me crazy to read posts calling for Cook's head due to some gaffe - what trivial bollocks when put against the progress he made for the club commercially and with the relationships with MCC.
It just shows how people can miss the bigger picture so easily - they want the success for a generation but seem to fail to recognise what is required for that to be secured. A number of people just seem to limit their thinking to on-pitch activities.
FFS if, for the good of the club, a lot of fans can forgive Tevez his behaviour, ignore the background of Hughes (I was one of those - but thank fuck we ended up with Mancini) and so on - why the fuck did the guy who was doing such an incredibly successful job commercially get slated by a significant minority of CITY fans (admittedly it did seemed to be the BM set - less on here) - we should have circled the wagons.
Maybe it is just timing but there seems to have been a loss of momentum in (certainly in terms of announcements) in commercial advancements and progress with MCC. What’s gone is gone - but I just hope that progress has not indeed slowed down and there is a top top name about to be announced.
I would have Cook back like a shot – but that is not going to happen.

It's clear that many of the journo's have now twigged that Bob is taking the piss.
How strange that we were all way ahead of them on that, yet they make a living out of supposedly being able to spot such things. Perhaps they are shit at their jobs ? Or perhaps they were too scared to react for fear of reprisals, but now the school bully is close to getting his comeuppence, they are going to hang around with the new lad instead ?
Glad Gary Cook has been invited. He has made mistakes but he's also done a lot right & is a big part of what we have achieved. I hope he has a fantastic day & gets a good response from our fans.

Ted - I think that he should be specifically announced so that the fans can show their appreciation.
Re the school bully - i was really concerned that the would retire last year after the 19th title - meaning that all our success and their demise would be lined back to his departue.
I think he will increasingly regret that decision the arrogant twat - I am so glad though - I want to see him increasingly desperate in interviews as we totally dominate

Great to see Bob looking comfortable and confident. Playing the game with the press.
He looks like a man who know's he's won.

How stupid is Ferguson? We were negative with five in midfield in the second half against his attacking team with five in midfield for most of the game until Rooney got lonely and dropped back to make a six man midfield. Looking forward to the old bastard croaking it on Sunday knowing that we have knocked them off their perch.

Also, and not for the first time, I'd like to stress that, being Cookie a top notch marketing man, it's from now on that we'll be missing him much.
I'll be delighted if Soriano will step up, but can't help myself thinking of what wonders GC might have played for increasing the Club global revenue. Right or
wrong , Platini or not, nowadays it's pretty much all it counts.

Glad his contribution is being recognised tomorrow. Whilst he is not working for us, I understand he is still employed by our owner.
Ironic that Onouha is on the opposing team...

No only does Mancini toy around with taggert, he also shows an order of magnitude more class than the bitter twat hughes. Love to hear the journalists sniggering in the background too. Expertly well done Bob

I am pleased that Cook will be at the game. Much of what we are now, what we have achieved and what we will achieve will have been built on the foundations he laid.
I would also be happy to see our club wait a short while, maybe quietly use him in a consultative capacity and then quietly slip him back into place and allow him to finish off what he started.
Maybe that is why we have still to appoint a new CEO and why if what was posted above, he is still employed by ADUG.
The mistakes he made were stupid and public and he may lack a few social skills but on a daily basis, what he achieved has been awesome. He deserves to be recognised for that.
No fuss, no noise, just sit him on a chair and slide his feet back under the desk.

One of the best posts I've ever read, anywhere.

I think he has come so that he can try and weasel his way back into some well paid position with us again. All this bollox that he started the ball rolling for us is nonsense,he did what he was paid for and employed for anybody with his training could have done what he did.We have not gone backwards since his departure.I think the Sheikh was looking for a way to get rid of him and the he foolishly obliged.
