Fucking Mint Film.

Watching it now. I remember watching it in a shitty cinema when i was at school, after back to back promotions from division 2. I used to generally get so much shit at school when we were relegated. You blues that grew up in blue ends don't know what its like.

It prompted me to look for pics of the City mags from 1999. Anyone got any pics? Ive got all the mags from Tony Coton cover when we were in the prem up until a few years ago, but there all in the loft.

Give it to Gordon!

Makes me cry that film. Mainly at the murdering of a manc accent by one Raymond Winstone, but it is proper touching, the film.

I've got a few old City programmes, plus my mum gave me a bag of old City tickets, ranging back to the early nineties. Might have to upload when I'm not frantically trying to pretend I'm not shitting myself about tomorrow.

My claim to fame on that film is that I drove the researcher around looking for sites to film in Manchester. He told me what sort of places he thought he wanted and I used my knowledge to dig them out for him.

Great film, love the end when the rag scout ask what can be better than signing for unitit, s"igning for CITY" Jimmy says, makes the hairs on my arms stand up.

I stole the programme off my Dad when we last won the league @ Newcastle in 1968, i also have a road to wembley magazine fully squad signed from 1956.

Yeah the lad who played the runt Jimmy is a rag in real life and the lad who played Gorgeous Gordon is a blue. It's called acting... John Henshaw is indeed a big blue, probably better known for his role as the pub landlord in Early Doors.
