Corruption in PL?

Absolutely brilliant day yesterday but I wonder about two possible incidents of corruption in the PL.
1. Fulop's goalkeeping against Arsenal looked very suspicious. The first goal was bad enough but the punch for the third looked deliberate to me. My mate said he might have a beef against Spurs. Looked very dodgy!
2. Foy's Refereeing at Bolton. IMO he is replacing Walton as a PL referee so bad he could be corrupt. For the first Stoke goal it was clearly in the goalies hands and he was fouled. The second Stoke goal looked soft to say the least. Coyle was very dignified in defeat.
The PL must sort out the poor standard of refereeing in the PL.
Personally I would love to see video technology help the officials for goals, penalties and sendings off plus retrospective action, (like in rugby).

Our Cup loss against rags ref was bought. I have no doubt in my mind about that.

Stoke's first goal was fucking ridiculous. Having said that, twenty years ago it would've been ok.

All I will say is the league, the fa, and the refs did their best to stop us...but in the end they failed. Next season we get our away form sorted and foy could ref every scum game and give them three pens a match it wont matter

If you watch QPR in the last 5 mins, especially when we made it 2-2, it looks pretty fishy!

I agree lots of elements wanted to stop us and they will try again next year. I'm sure the rags, Chelsea, and the others will invest heavily in the summer.
Bernstein, the FA and the PL need to identify incompetence and corruption to ensure that teams are not cheated out of games in future.

Some one said to me this morning, that the QPR goal keeper took a bribe. He was trying to imply that MH said it yesterday after the match. My mate said the goal keeper was on his way at the end of the season come what may.

Concidering some of those saves he made yesterday, I think we can safely say that's not true.

Sounds like a bitter rag! Their goalie was their man of the match. We had 24 shots on target! Its like Fergie after the match implying we had assistance from impartial refereeing saying we played against 10 men for 30 minutes and had 5 minutes injury time. (There probably should have been more with Bartons protacted sending off!)

Fulop is a 29 year old international goalie who played one game this season and wanted to make a good impression for the sake of his career. He's out of contract now isn't he.

Throwing the game wasn't worth anything to him.

The officials were spot on with Barton's elbow and with the save on the line. I thought they were right with SWP's handball too. The one mistake they made was that Stoke header, it was a foul but there wasn't a top of time in it and it's an easy one to make. A keeper shouldn't allow a player to do that to him, foul or no.

I can believe that like Mr Discopants said from game to game IMO there is corruption, but I think that we would not be champions if it was rife in the Pl or the FA or the other people who control things. If it was the case as the other fella says its more than likely that the result yesterday was fixed, and the rags would be champs.

After celebrating in the pub watching the presentation, a scouse 1 fan said it will be interesting next season, depending on which teams buy players. i simply suggested that united need an entire back four, vidic probably will lose some pace after his bad knee injury and wobble gob is finished. They need a new midfield, all to help their only great player El Wayne.

so, if they persist with the current batch and the old boys, i reckon they will have a really poor season

I was listening to TS today, and I think it was Graham Poll who was on. When he reffed, the best refs got the final week of the season. He said something along the lines of "as there are only 14 referees you can work out who the best are". They are determined by the marks for the previous 30 odd games.

How the likes of Foy got a game this seasons finale is beyond me.

Until a thew moments ago, i haven't saw the highlights from Stoke - Bolton. What the hell was that? FFS Bolton should sue Foy and his assistant for that. How on Earth could that happend?

The majority of premiership refs are a bag of shit. How many times did Sky/BBC/fucking Vuvuzela TV caught Shrek on camera, telling the ref to fuck off? And how many times did he got a card? Once, from fucking Foy.

I think most of them are beyond shit, maybe except Mike Dean who i really think it's the best in the league and Webb (although the fucker did some nasty things which helped United, i can't remember he doing something to us, while he was the match official in the past years).

Have you any connections to the FA/PL or referees?
I wouldnt be surprised if it comes out in the future that Fulop was paid to throw the game similar to Bruce Grobelaar in the 1990s. Fulop's very suspicious "cock ups" have potentially lost many millions to Spurs if they fail to get CL as a result. (If Chelsea beat Bayern Spurs dont get CL!)
There were many poor officials decisions at weekend but Foy's at Bolton were atrocious and have cost Bolton over £20m.

Funny you should mention it, I'd actually forgotten all about it...

On sunday, there were multiple screens in the pub I was in, all mixed fans watching their respective teams.

Anyway, when fulop gave that goal away, they showed the replay and every fan that turned to watch immediately intimated it was not unfortunate, but bent.

And that's exactly how I saw it.

Paddy Kenny let the ball through his fingers for Zabaleta's goal, easy to point the finger at another. Fuck ups happen. QPR might have hung in even had Bolton won. Bolton deserved to go down, one refs mistake doesn't change that. They had enough other chances.

I'm fully convinced that there's lots and lots of corruption in football. But I don't think this was any more suspicious than your average week.

Like I said, I've never seen such a diverse collection of fans point to corruption rather than fuck up in the immediate replay.

It may be coincidence but all I'm saying is a lot of people from different leaning took a different view.

That certainly wasn't the feeling with the paddy kenny cock up.

Or any other for the whole season when I was in a pub!

For all 3 Arsenal goals the goalkeeping was suspicious the first and 3rd looked outrageous the 2nd could have just been poor goalkeeping where he parried it into his own net much like Paddy Kenny for QPR. I have no axe to grind for either team but put the 3 errors together in such an important match with so much at stake IMO it looked 100% deliberate and should be investigated. I totally agree with Dub.
