I've always had a lot of love for Sunderland. Probably since that time we sent them down, i thought their fans were ace (despite later learning of violent exchanges and seat throwing) we were swapping scarves and exchanging banter with them on the Kippax. I was too young to be anything other than an observer of this, but I've got quite a few close friends who are mackem fans, and they are salt of the earth. They all like City, and they all HATE United. Bit like West Ham fans, but harder to understand.

Howay the lads. Doing the poznan at United makes me feel like I owe everyone on Wearside a beer!

Despite supporters of other clubs giving us loads of abuse in recent years because of our new found wealth, when it comes down to it, everyone HATES United. Everyone would choose us to win the league over them, any day.

To be fair to rag oaf, he did say 'that was quality' 'under that pressure' or similar. Still hilarious though!

I've had a lot of rag mates being annoyingly nice to me actually - well, the one's I'm mates with anyway. I suppose it's a case of when you've got no ammo, why have a shot. Really pissing me off to be honest, when you want them to give you something to shout down . Pretty much all of the ones I've spoken to said we deserved it. They try the little dig about keep it clean for us next season, but they've been much more dignified than the whiskey sodden tramp.

Some bitter thickets on facebook though, Jesus. If I wasn't so happy I'd get stuck right into them and f*ck up all their shit.

And the SOL reaction still sends a chill of pleasure down my spine every time I watch it, I've always had a soft spot for mackems fans since my first ever City game (at Maine Road) was against them
