I waited for someone to since you started this topic, it may be premature but I first while thinking what the City has to solve a central defender, Lescoot was good once in a great season, but imagine that Edin and Kun did not do what they did in the end. Savic I have to say is two classes of below ,may be able to make a good fullback, but we have them too. we have and Kolo Touré but I think he does not at relax and watch standards( its not that i m ever relax but with Kompany i have some relax form of thinking when i watch game). We need another quality, only one of whom we can rely on and I think that Lescot should not play the game with a lot of pressure if possible.

i agree with you anyway mate. Definitely time for a centre half. Although i'm not sure about what you say about Joleon - i think he's been absolutely quality this season, especially alongside Vinnie.

Savic has a lot of work to do before he can cut it.

The centre half market isn't great at the minute imo. Who would you suggest?

Lescott dropped a bad bollock on Sunday (in the Savic class) but Vinny & Clichy were fucking useless as well. Vinny could have taken a yellow card to stop the the 2nd goal but his judgement was that poor that he didn't even get close enough to do that. Clichy was out of position for both & the only reason Lescott had to head the ball in the 1st place was because Vinny suddenly dropped back to play Cisse onside.

They all fucked up on the day, not just one person. If we think they're all shite then fine, sign 3 defenders, but to start another witch hunt against a bloke who has been solid as a rock all season is just fucking shite. He's played loads of pressure games & been excellent.

For what it's worth, I would sign another CB & rotate three of them as at least one is sure to get injured. Statistically though, Lescott is the best in the country, so finding someone of the same standard as him & Vinny isn't going to be easy.

i Agree i think i write that Lescoot was good most of the year but also he did make few misakes in big games and this last one shuld never had hapend , could cost us a title , us for who will i suggest i m not a scaut but i like Kjaer from ASRoma then Subotic is wery good and i m sure that in South America witch we dont have time to watch or chenels have few of quality ones like AC Milan bring Thiago Silva from there out of nowhere he did that with Kaka and Pato so i m sure tghat scauts can find one and he dont need to be to expensiv ...

yes i agree on this 100 % but Lescoot is make the big one and i only talking abaut CD becose we need one , we see wath is hapend when Kompany was injured.and i didnt mean this like witch hount at all i think and this i aid for third time in row exelent most of the season speshily at the end...

Defending in the premier league on the whole has been quite terrible this season.

We have the best defense, do we need to make it even better? Or just coach it to a higher level. We will concede goals, other teams are allowed to be good.

Each player will make mistakes, but this season we made very few.

A Lescott upgrade is something on the list, but its not top of the list, maybe the season after next it might be worth worrying about.

Kompany and Lescott all day long for me. If it's not broke (and it isn't) why try to fix it?

I agree that we need a better backup plan than Savic, but time will tell.

You cant really get better back up than Kolo and keep him happy.

Anyone better than VK and JL will want 38 games a season if fit.

It leaves us in a position where we ideally need an older lieutenant and a young up and coming, very capable player. Not sure we have the later yet.

I trust Kolo to do a good job for 3 or 4 games here and there. As long as he is partnered with one of the first choicers.
