Help With A Charity Auction Item?
Posted: Thu May 17, 2012 12:33 pmWe have our Adult Sunday League Presentation Night at the end of this month here in Blackpool and as part of the proceedings are having a charity auction in aid of our local childrens' hospice, Brian House.
I contacted several top clubs for donations. To their credit United were the first to get back with a signed football but unfortunately City aren't able to help on this occasion. No problem, they're probably inundated with requests like this and simply can't help everyone.
Now, there will be around 300-400 local footballers there on the night, they're all fully aware of my blueness, so it's going to be pretty embarrassing to be auctioning off such a prize from United and have nothing from God's own club.
So, if anyone has anything suitable that they would like to have auctioned off for a very good cause (100% of the proceeds to the hospice, no commissions, expenses etc.) - or someone from the board with contacts could actually get something from the club within the next week or so, that would be just fantastic.
