It's finished at Sunderland, Manchester United have done all they can.

That Rooney goal was enough for three points.

Manchester city are still alive here

Ballotelli....

this is what ive been saying.
yes we will win the league again but we will never win it like that , no one will.
the only thing that could come close would would be doing what the rags did in champs league against bayern in 1999 but that wouldnt top what we did this week

The 1st times the sweetest.

That said many of us didn't think the FA cup would be topped, 1st trophy in decades, them in the semi etc.

Not a chance that would feel better than pipping them to the title in fergie time.

Maybe if we played them last game of the season...

Playing them the last game of the season. With us winning the title and relegating them in fergie time..

Nothing will ever beat that moment..ever

Smashing Barca..Smashing the Rags...winning the CL 10 times on the trot..nothing

1-2 down in the 91st minute with the rags thinking they had won the title?

I've dreamt less impressive scenarios

No. I can't think of any way. Not even if we won the championship league.
The up and down and then up again nature of the race and then winning the
whole thing is just irreplaceable.

You're right, I never dreamed we'd win it that way. That's how unique a situation it was.

Relegating United and winning the title ourselves at the same time could come close though...

See the problem is as great as relegating them would be, it pales in comparison to the difference that 1 min made in fergie time of it being them or us lifting that trophy.

No disrespect mate...but winning the Champions League wouldn't come anywhere near the feeling of last Sunday and this week.

Winning the league and beating United to do it in the last minute of the last game is a script I could not have dreamt up in my most mental, wild dreams.

The CL is a modern football phenomenon, all very shiny and flash but beating anyone (Barcelona, Juve, Madrid or even another English club) to win that trophy, whilst a brilliant achievement, couldn't even begin to come close to the eliciting the visceral, unrestrained outpouring of every emotion possible that last weekend did.

If we beat United in the final, that might come close but it wouldn't have the buildup (for me) of 37 years or pain, frustration and desperation, dashed hope and hopeless devotion that last weekend released.

I don't care if we can't top last weekend's feeling. I lived it, I felt it, I loved it

It's the next hurdle on our journey. Best in ingerland is one thing, best in Europe is another.

We'll find a way to top it, no fear. This is typical City.

Snatching the league in the 95th minute is something that I can't see being topped. Perhaps scoring an injury time winner in the CL final against them would come close but still don't think it can top last sunday.
