Apparently they're creating a blue tarmac thingy and naming places after City greats etc near Maine Rd.

I'm thinking of moving to Dickov Drive.

There is also a small estate near the junction of Lloyd Street and Claremont Road that honours City players.; Sam Cowan, Fred Tilson, Sammy Cookson, Horace Barnes, Billy Meredith, Jimmy McMullan.

From Wikipedia:

In 1977 the Manchester City Council named eleven streets in a new estate in Moss Side after famous City players including Tilson, Frank Swift, Eric Brook, Sam Cowan, Horace Barnes, Max Woosnam, Tommy Browell, Jimmy McMullan, Sam Cookson, Billy Meredith and Tommy Johnson.

Can someone tell me where 'Kippax' comes from?

I know it was Kippax street..but was that named after the village in Yorkshire?

I thought that housing complex that stands where the ground was has all things named after city players.

Me too. Just checked google maps, and the image on there was taken while the houses were being constructed. The streets already built are called Bilsborrow Road, Sunshine Place and Blue Moon Way.
