We most definitely can. As long as we have the depth (Chelsea managed to win today even though their 1st choice centre backs were suspended. I don't think we would have won the league if we had Savic and Kolo playing in our last games), we should at least be able to get to the quarter finals. Once you get to the semis, I think it's all about luck.

Need good management, team chemistry and a lot of luck. We've currently got all three.

It took Chelsea 9 cracks at it, post-Abramovic coming in so lets see if we can beat that. So far we've had 1 go at it and made a right town halls of it.

Ferguson has had 19 cracks at it, winning 2 - with the resources he has had that isnt that impressive.

In the 1920s, the World Chess Champion was a Cuban player called Capablanca. People regularly accused him of being a "lucky" player, to which he used to reply "good players make their own luck" and I've always personally believed in the truth of that saying.

On that basis, in the years to come, we've surely got bucket-loads of good fortune coming our way.

chelsea were so fucking battered yesterday, and those stats surely show it in the shots/corners stats. Jesus...glad Chelsea won tbh, just to fuck over that Rumminigge bastard. He described this as more brutal than '99...which takes some doing. It's called Karma for all your shit talk on City you shitfaced donkey fucker!

I know some on here would be happy to win the Chump's Lg with 17 own goals but I want to do it in style.

I don't mind if we shut up shop in some of the away legs and get a draw whatever, but I want us to look the top teams in the eye when we're on our patch or neutral ground.

No disrespect to Chelsea, they did a great job with the resources available, but we have better resources and I'd like to win it by playing attacking football where possible. I think we will be able to do that sooner or later. We just need to settle into the competition.

ofcourse we can, but I think we'll probably need a couple of runs first

credit to Chelsea, they got the most out of their qualities and were very well organised against some of the worlds' best teams

but its not that lovely to watch
we'll all be over the Blue Moon when if we win the champions league but I would also like it to do it with some style
