£10M max and I'd agree NQDP. Chance to resurrect his career.

More likely he'll go back to Spain though.

I dont see the logic in this story.

Drogba is getting no younger and is out of contract, and a new manager is set to come in. I think he has every reason to be confident next season. I would have him in a shot, but he is not the player he was, and would be a sub at best in our setup, and if he has an issue with it at chelsea, he will definately have those issues here

Whatever the situation from Torres' end, what about Chelsea ?

They are trying to sign Hazard, negotiate with BOTH their centre forwards and they haven't got a fucking manager!!

What if a new guy comes in & wants to sign Gareth Bale for £50 mil to suit his style of play but they've just blown the money on Hazard ? What if they persuade Torres & Drogba to stay but he wanted Falcao ?

How badly are that club being run ?

It is an horrific mess though. The cup wins have masked it.

The title race should have been a 3 way race but chelsea have spent the past few seasons sabotaging themselves. How many times do they get a proper pre season ? Now, they are risking doing it again just as they are in an ideal position to step back up. It's fucking ridiculous.

you know what...all that's true, AND they still won.

if you were a chelsea fan right now you'd be worried about the league next season and who your manager will be, BUT...not that goddam much really in the harsh light of day. Winning cures a lot. Is it longterm? No, but i think most of the top clubs in the world have proven that this shit is cyclical. you have to take your chances when you have them because it's goddam hard work to stay at the top year after year and compete for everything.

Luckily for us...it's City's time. If i were a chelsea fan i'd be over the moon...fuck the league this season and 6th place. Who gives a shit? the sacrifice and chaos was absolutely worth it.

A nice debate that, both Ted and DM making some key hits to the body, it's in the balance but at the mo DM appears to be shading it on points ...

Abramovic is what Peter Swales would have been if he'd had money.

If I was a Chelsea fan, I'd be pulling my hair out that we are risking chucking everything down the shitter when we should be building a title challenge for next season.

NO. He's not been on top form for about three seasons. He's a player who's peaked and is past his best.

you've GOT to be kidding me....if i were a chelsea fan i'd be jacking my cock ALL over London town....the whole city is rife with anger that these chavvy fucks have nicked it and if yr an arsenal or a spurs fan it's like you've been stabbed in the eye. I'd give them all a roman soldier helmet and make them eat the peanuts out of my shit.

that's what i'd do if i were a chelsea fan.

are you crossan in disguise this morning?

cheers

Oh I'd definitely be celebrating the win but I was thinking of next season for City even when I was pissed, indeed talking about it & that brought me a bigger smile which made the victory even better.

If City were in Chelsea's position, the next season would be a looming shadow rather than a bright horizon & there's no need for that to be the case if the owner had run the club properly. This Champion's League win will be well & truly forgotten if Spurs or Newcastle are in it this time next year. In fact, it will be forgotton by September if Abramovic doesn't shift his arse into gear sharpish.

Why hasn't RDM been given the job yet?

As for Torres, no thanks. Was a great striker, nowadays, nobody knows what's up his panties.

Yes from me. I'd love us to buy him.

He's lost his way but is a class act. With a new environment and a fresh start he could be a fantastic buy.

Look, I know it's flavour of the month thing to slag him off and all that but bottom line is that he is skillfull striker who knows where the onion bag is. Would ease the pressure should we sell Tevez (which I still think is the case) as he can occupy similar role.

More like flavour of several seasons to slag him off, justifiably.

What do you mean by "several"? He has been poor for past two seasons. 09/10 season he still banged 22 goals in 32 games.

I'm with CityGer on this one, especially if we could get him at a knock-down price (which would be nice for a change). Wouldn't mind seeing what he could do alongside Aguero.

how would his situation improve by coming to city? needs to fuck off to spain or italy if he wants to start every game.

If Tevez is offski, he'd be number two striker instantly. He played lot on the wing this year and seemed to be able to perform there as well in sort of a Dirk Kuyt role. I think he'd be on the pitch more often than not for us.
