Pizzaro

"I returned to Rome from Manchester and I'm not going to move again," Pizarro told Il Romanista.

"I had no intention of leaving AS Roma even in January, but I had a bad relationship with Luis Enrique and then when Mancini called I accepted. It was all very sudden.

"Now, I'm going on vacation and then I'll return to Rome.

"I hope to finish my European career at AS Roma, I still have a one-year contract and I'm very motivated."

"When we were under United in the table no-one expected us to recover," he added.

"Mancini always asked me advice, referring to the 2010 Serie A championship, when Roma recovered so many points to Inter Milan.

"Because of my experience he wanted me to give a hand."

Ill miss him

I miss that little guy already!! :( The way he just sat back pinging balls all over the show is just what we needed at the time.
Good luck to him in the future.

Was the catalyst for us picking up a vital point against Sunderland.

Sporting at home, not so good.

Just didnt have the legs for it sadly. All the best in the future David

would be very nice to find a younger player in the same mold as him.

He has done better than I initially thought he would. Having him around the squad added some experience in without a shadow of a doubt. He will be missed, best of luck Pizzaro.

That's the bottom line.
Thanks David, you did your bit in what was greatest season of football in my life. Thank you.

One funny thing though, we signed him BEFORE we were behind rags if my memory serves me.

Bosvelt > Hamann > Vieira > Pizzaro

I have loved these trips down memory lane... most of them have been rather successful. That said, they will be few and far between from here on in. Hopefully we can hold on to Yaya and have him tutor some youth to plug the gaps when needed.

I thought he was a great signing - came for nothing, offered us something different and was able to open the game up when the others were struggling. Fantastic passer, I'm sad it wasn't made permanent.

Hopefully after the success of Vieira and Pizarro, people won't slate Mancini again if he makes a similar move next January.

Best of luck to him. Hope he finishes out his career with a trophy for Roma...

i think we can reasonably expect to see this type of move once a season from Bobby ... and I think he'll try to do it mid season as a way to solidify the locker room/add experience during the final run in. I like it, and I think the approach is born of his own personal experience as a top player.

I do the same in FM ... great for tutoring! ;)

Good luck to him, he certainly gave glimpses of being a gifted player, we just got him one or 2 years too late.

Good luck to him. Some lovely, class touches but I shat myself half the time when he was on the ball in deep positions. Would have been interesting to see him play further forward with protection behind him.

Exactly.
Though I suppose that tells you all you need to know about Heargreaves. Fitness videos or not.
