I agree, though since they employed Mark Hughes they are obviously lacking sense.

Kept them up which looked unlikely!

This.

It's not just the three red card offences, it's the whole point that he should have left the field beforehand, when he received the card, not had to be forcibly removed by Micah Richards and that Welsh geezer who knocks around with Hughes.

This will really hurt his chances of playing for England.

Surely QPR could state he has brought the club into disrepute and sack the thug.

Can someone explain why criminal charges don't apply??? If I'd have stamped on someone I'd be in a meat wagon n charged.... What is the FAs jurisdiction on a football field for violent conduct outside of the law of the land?? Or does it all hang on players not pressing charges against each other and the FA rules???? Thank you kindly :-)

I can't see him as a QPR player come next season.

That's if he had any in the first place.

LOL

They were 17th when he took over and they were 17th when by the end of the season saved by dodgy Stoke goal. Them staying up was unlikely because Hughes, not for the first time in his career, only managed to make them worse than they were when he took over.

It's unbelieavable how much some people are willing to STILL change facts for this feller. It seems like manlove for this guy sees no boundaries.

It's also unbelievable that you twist facts in your own sentences.

In your words 17th to 17th.

He might not have saved them, but in what world did he make them worse?

I don't hold any love for him, but it's the but job haters that make a rational person play devils advocate, which is all Doug's comments looked like there.

I agree. The police shouldn't be involved in a mis-timed tackle and even some stamps can be subjective (did Mario mean to land on Parker etc). But his knee to Aguero was assault from behind. I accept Aguero may choose to not press charges, but surely Barton should be arrested before finding out.

If I assault someone outside the ground, I'm pretty sure I'll be arrested before the other person has decided if they weren't that bothered.

As for QPR, they've got a pretty poor midfielder on £70k a week. If I was them, I'd jump at the chance to sack him. It'll be better value than keeping him.

On paper, I don't see how that QPR team wasn't a couple of places higher - they have quite a few decent, expensive and well-travelled players (Cisse, Zamora, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Barton, Taiwo, SWP) in the squad and others who are definitely Prem standard.

As for Barton, with his wages and 3 years (?) left on the deal, I actually wouldn't be surprised if QPR punished him further. Diakite looks like a much better player, anyway.

What did Thatcher get for the Mendes elbow? 8 games?

He's obviously fishing mate.

I had a look at the fixtures that lay in store for QPR in the run in and like every pundit on tv, thought there was no way they'd stay up. The fact that they finished in the same position after he took over having played the top clubs in the country is commendable.

He's probably never going to be a top team manager at this stage, but an very good premier league manager he definitely is.

I'll be suprised if qpr don't finish mid table next season and start pushing for top 7 season after that.

I wouldn't change our bobbie for anyone, let alone hughes, but I know a decent job when I see one.

Can't believe the likes of "man love" for hughes is still being bandied about in such discussions.

Then again, that's what fishing is all about I suppose. Bring back R_I_G. There was a real fisherman.
