... to seeing my home town side getting thrashed by Man City 10-1 AGAIN. Just one more promotion to go. Congratulations to Huddersfield in their marathon 22 penalty shootout.

Was about to post the same, amazing to miss your first 3 penalties and still win! Well done to my "adopted" home town side...

Congrats to the terriers but I'm so glad I don't live anywhere like milnesbridge, Golcar or any of the other delightful suburbs of Huddersfield.

Our village is full of wannabee scouse and rags. I keep telling them, it doesn't matter that Town are shit, if they all supported their home town club, they could easily sustain Prem football. Well done Terriers.

My town of birth and really pleased to see them finally get promoted back to the Championship. They dominated the game but I was seriously worried when they missed the first 3 penalties. Congrats to them.

There are plenty of "delightful suburbs" in Huddersfield actually. Just like anywhere, some shit holes and many nice areas.

I've always lived in nice places since I moved over here, there as many nice parts as shitholes to be fair.

There's some leafy suburbs too, you know - particularly east around Lepton and Denby Dale. (can't argue with the ones you named though, very 'dark satanic mills')

Yeah well done Huddersfield, I went to school at Rawthorpe many many years ago, remember me and my mates biking up to Castle Hill on sunny Saturdays, the memories.

I'm looking up at Castle Hill right now. And I'm moving up that way in a couple of months...Thurstonland.

I'm chuffed for Town too! It's nice to see my home town go up! Always keep an eye on how they do and 'that' 10 - 1 win is what led me to CITY many years ago!
There are some lovely places around Huddersfield, lived just below Castle Hill as a kid and it's beautiful up there, worked in the pub for years growing up and there was no where nicer on a hot Summers evening than sitting out looking out over the Town :-) Shame the Thandi's destroyed it!
