Didn't they just wrap up the Claudio Pizarro deal? Can't see this happening personally.

The same Edin who recently commited himself to City?
I am amazed at how these media clowns can assess a Twitchy £ 40m asking price for the welsh chimp as a fair value, but never miss to halve the actual market value of any City player in their bullox.

If we sell Dzeko (and I hope we don't) then who do we get to replace him?

Only source in germany is the Sport1 -"News" witch is similar to "sky/bbc understands....."
Fact is, Bayern is on the hunt and there is much money avaible for them. But they often send the media on a wrong way to make suprising deals behind close doors......
They played last season with Olic(20 of 34 BL games), Petersen (9), Müller (34) and Gomez (33) up front, the first two not in the club anymore.
Pizzaro was bought from my team, whoever will come there won´t get much games (even Pizzaro) as they/Heynkes is a one-striker coach...

Thanks Tom. Good to get a decent insight - sounds like some German press dart throwing, similar to the famed "Sky Sports Understands...." phrase.
Hope all is well with you.

Dzeko's agent has strenuously denied talking to Bayern. The last comments from both Dzeko and his agent said he absolutely wants to stay & is content to fight for his place, so unless City engineer some deal, I can't see him causing any problems.

I hope Edin stays. I am not a huge fan, but he does give us something different. If we did decide to sell him we would need to bring in someone who can head the ball and hold up play (hopefully with a better first touch then Edin).
Variety is the spice of life and all that jazz.

I'd definitely sell him if we can recoup anything £20Mil+.
He's a confidence player. He needs to be the main man and he needs to play week in, week out. He's not going to get that with us because he's not good enough and he doesn't work hard enough.
He's not at the level of someone like Cavani IMO and if we can move Dzeko out and get Cavani in for a net spend of £10Mil it would be good business.
It's certainly going to be interesting to see what happens this summer with our group of forwards. I'd like to see a decision made on Tevez as soon as possible.
