Is this fella any good? I honestly know nothing about him but it makes me think that the glazers are being very astute business men in bringing him in to sell shirts as park is not going to get a lot of game time.

You cant knock the glazers business model, the rags have done wonders for them.

I remember the leak about park being their biggest asset and keeping him was essential for their asian market. Am I looking at this through blue tinted specs or can this fella kick a ball?

Just wondering as I overheard a rag in the office saying he was going to be a great buy and he isnt one of the bitter fantasists I deal with daily.

Kagawa is class and will outshine Hazard in the prem next year, mark my words.

They are getting a top player on the cheap. I have no idea why we aren't looking to hijack this deal if Bobby feels we need another creative midfielder.

Some stats to back up may claim he is class..

Eden Hazard Games: 192 Goals: 50 Assists: 38

Shinji Kagawa Games: 198 Goals 86 Assists: 45

Similar age, Kagawa in arguably the harder league.

Very good player and the best Asian player by a country mile.

I suggested him a while back and I think Dazby, who'd also seen a bit of him, agreed.

He can play all across the attacking third, has pace, has a goal in him and creates for others. Top player from what I've seen and you can't argue with his record at Dortmund, 71 games, 29 goals, 15 assists.

The only doubt is how he'll fit in at the filth as Dortmund gave him a free reign and played for him.

I actually really, really rate Kagawa and would be gutted if he went to them. I have seen him play about fifteen times in the past two seasons and looks a real threat.

i was a voice of reason saying we should sign him last summer/fall....(and i don't blow my own trumpet oftenly, although i admit it does feel pretty good when i do. Maybe i should have a rib removed? back on topic...)

i've seen him about 6-7 times in the last 12-18 months and i rate him highly as well.

For us he'd be "another" Silva/Nasri in that he can play middle or wide and is best suited given some reign to roam and create/find space, but as we showed the last 1/4 of the season, having both on the pitch together worked well, and we have no cover there.

at 12M i'd have him in a snip...but clearly bobby doesn't feel the need for "more" of what he feels he has i'm guessing.

We don't get the german league here any more so I haven't seen him for a while. The last time was the Asia Cup when everyone was creaming themselves over Honda in the Japanese team. But Kagawa was the real creative spark. He looked quality then and I doubt he will have got any worse since.

i think he's a really good player. although, i could be biased because i think almost everyone in the starting 11 of BvB is pretty damn good.

Kagawa is good player but I disagree with those who claim he is potentially great player like Hazard. I predict Kagawa will play similar role to Park Ji-Sung for them in long term. Change of pace player and part of deep squad rotation. Though he is much better player than Ji-Sung. I just don't see him shouldering all the playmaking duties in this league.

While I do agree with BiB that Ferguson will get more out of Kagawa already next season than most managers will get out of Hazard, I think Hazard really genuinely has potential to be one of the best in the world while Kagawa's ceiling is "really good".

Very impressed with what I've seen of him both for Dortmund (a few games here and there, either side of his injury) and at the Asian Cup. Everyone highlights Gotze, Hummels/Subotic and Lewandowski, but players like Piszczek and Kagawa have been just as important to them whenever I've watched.

I gather he'll play behind Rooney - as DM said, not the kind of player we seem to be after with Silva/Nasri/Yaya already there. He's going to be a very good signing for them, unfortunately, both on the field and in a commercial sense.

Still think we should have bid to up the price, though. Have Dortmund accepted their new offer? Haven't really been following it.

Yap i watch Borusia all season and he is amazing and he would be cheper then Hazard , Borrusia play greath now and if they stay in this team in Chump leugue they can make suprise

Seems awfully cheap if hes as good a player as everyone says. His commercial value alone means he should be much more expensive than 12m.

As someone said we should bid to push price up for no other reason.

He is that cheap because Dortmund were dumb enough to let his contract run into its final year without extending it.
Real shame he is an amazing player and was absolutely vital to Dortmunds title wins

I really rate him

I must say I'm surprised because I saw him play for the first time several years ago and I didn't suspect his career would go this way
but watching him play for Dortmund a couple times the last 2 years he often impressed me
if you couldn't get Hazard, he's probably the best alternative out there at the moment

he's good at finding the space and once he does he's a very dangerous player
since the rags have been following Kagawa for some time they'll probably get him and he might be a good signing for them, sadly

I don't think he would be good enough for us anyway. Let them have him. He will never be world class.

He sounds like a promising player to be fair, but I can't imagine him being world class either. I might be wrong but I really hope he is a flop!

He is class, after Goetze had that injury, he was the player who helped Dortmund win the league. We should go after him for two reason :

1) He is class and at our club he can become better and better.
2) Our asian marketing zone will explode with this transfer.
