Well, the latest news in Italy say that Roma will end its preseason training period up in the Alps with a high profile friendly against...yeah, you guessed it right, fresh Premier League Champions (still can't stop smiling when I think of it :D ) Manchester City.

I've been waiting for a match between the two teams I support since becoming a City fan in Sven's season, and now it seems it will happen, although only for a friendly this time. Hopefully next time it will be in the Champions League!! :D

Back to the topic, I've seen the news on a Roma oriented website, this is the link to the article:

http://www.pagineromaniste.com/amichevo ... ster-city/

They have taken the news from an Italian newspaper though, which I've not seen in first person.

Anyway this is the translation of the short piece regarding the friendly, then there's another part about the schedule of the Roma preseason but I'll spare you that:

Zdenek Zeman against Roberto Mancini. It's not a sample of the next Champions League, as Roma won't be in it, but only the friendly which will close the preseason training of Riscone di Brunico: Roma in that occasion will, most probably, face City. After the two usual matches with Alto Adige amateurs, the giallorossi, as last year, will move on the last day to Innsbruck where they will close the first phase of the summer work with a high profile friendly. Only some (economical) details have to be solved yet, but in the end the high profile opponent will be Manchester City, fresh winner of the Premier League.

Most of them think they're signing autographs (and their contracts have about as much legal value as an autograph anyway)
