I liked Robinho. I think he got a lot of stick, some deserved. But at the time the guy was clearly class and playing with several whoppers in the team. I think he'd fit in now really well.

Mancini likes players who try. He can't be arsed.

The phoney, backstabbing, little cunt has done his best to deter any Brazilian players from coming to City since he left.

Fuck him.

He was our best player three years ago. He wouldn't get in the team at all now.

What with the manager who was so impressed he subbed the sub? Not a hope in hell.

It didn't work out in the end but I've only really got fond memories of Robinho. That transfer deadline day when he signed was one of the most exciting days ever. He scored some great goals for us - the one against Arsenal was pure genius. Overall, he had a very good first season.

Unfortunately, he wasn't prepared to put the effort in that was required at our club to take us to the next level so he moved on but him and Ireland played some great football in that season and it was the first step to where we ended up now.

He wouldn't get into our team now as Mancini needs his attacking players to perform solid defensive duties too, but there's no doubting he has some excellent attacking attributes that lit up our club in that first season.

To me it seems that there are a number of our fans who think the only men who should put on our shirt are hard men "real men".Skill is for girls. For me he was the most skillful player we have ever had and I loved watching him play in all these games he apparently went missing.

If people like Silva and Aguero can be arsed to do their bit for the team when both are on a higher world level to Robinho, there is no excuse for him not doing it. He only performs when everything is going right, never when his team is up against it, be it City, Real Madrid, Brazil or AC Milan. If Lionel Messi can put a shift in, then so can Robinho, end of.

Don't think that right. All this stuff about him not being arsed is a bit of the mark.He does as much as he is supposed to,cos he don't go sliding or charging into people dont make him lazy.

The bloke just couldn't be arsed.

Although he did score some fantastic goals, he only ever put in a shift for himself but couldb't be bothered with the team.

If you can find it, then watch a re-run of the Santander away game a match that typifies his laziness. Big Phil showed him the way it should be done.

I shall always remember the fall out from this game at the team hotel amongst practically the whole of the first team squad. This was also the first time I saw Gelson in talks about a move away, (Not that, that has any relevence.)

Think that Robhino was always well liked within the squad as an individual, but despised as a team player..

Wish we would have got rid sooner..

Can you elaborate on that story?

Not because I doubt you, but because it would probably be a really good read.

Yes certainly....

I walked into the louge at about 1AM and there was Gelson sat at a table with his agent on one side of him and on the other side of him was sat...........

Oh! Not that story? You mean the other one!

Well actually, No. I couldn't possibly.

But my auto-biography carries a fairly detailed no holds barred account coming to an outlet near you soon at an extremely extortionate price Lol

Got too much stick. Yes he was lazy, but in his first season he still managed 14 goals and numerous assists in a fairly poor team. I mean he had Jo, Benjani and Vassel for strike partners.
Without doubt one of the most naturally gifted players, shame we didn't sign him a couple of seasons later.
