It's absolutely farcical. They make all the right noises about combating hooligans/racists and do absolutely cock all about it. Was it last year when we got fined £30k for being two minutes late out and porto got fined £20k for racial abuse of Balotelli? I know it's a different governing body, but it's still the same idiots making the decisions.

For their fans behaviour in Poland, on the streets as well as in the ground. Caused loads of trouble and did over a few steward's (non-ShowSec type).

They had a real chance to get this sorted once and for all, they chose to let them carry on regardless. Says it all really.

It's not exactly first time for them either. Always trying to get it to kick off with some scarfers when they are playing Finland. They have none of the "we look for geezers who are up for it" attitude. Not that I approve it either. But it's bang out of order trying to attack some blokes going to game with their kids.

The video I saw showed a bunch of Polish nutters attacking Russians who were just sat outside a bar, so presumably the Poles will be next to receive a slap on the wrist.

From what i've read, they will do that if the russian fans will continue what they did so far.


On the other hand, if they did that to Russia, Platini could do the same with Poland. After all, their fans were the ones that hunted the russians in the streets and beside that, the next stage of qualifications are under FIFA regime, not UEFA.

I really suspect that their relationship isn't that good. If you remember Blatter didn't vote for Platini to replace Johansson.
