Season tickets sold out

All season tickets are now sold out
"I scored after 19 minutes a "bluemoon" goal - David White picked it up, he saw me standing alone, he crossed and I hammered it home. The moon had turned gold"

How many season tickets is there available overall btw?
Maybe this could spark a stadium expansion and then I could get one for 13/14 season! :)

We still won't sell out all the cup games. I don't think the expansion will happen until we are packed to the rafters every game for 2/3 seasons. So in 2/3 seasons if we carry on winning trophies every year.

Fans might be obsessed with selling out every game but I doubt the owners are. If, say, an extra 6,000 seats could be filled for the 19 league games it would raise well over £3m a year in match revenue which would be another step forward to FFP (don't forget the capital costs of stadium development don't count for ffp). Every bit helps...

Not forgetting the extra 12,000 drinks, 6,000 balti's, 3,000 shirts/cups/key rings etc.

From an article on Goal.com. Not sure I believe such a list exists, but if it's trye then a ground expansion can't be far away. . . . . .

"Due to City's success last term, the waiting list for a season ticket at the Etihad Stadium has reached 15,000 members but the club are unable to allocate beyond their 36,000 allowance in order to accommodate fans who prefer general admission to matches".

I think if you have blue membership you are classed as being "on the waiting list"

Ahh that might explain it.
I wonder how many genuinely are waiting.

Judging the speed they went at today when the blue upgrade window opened I would say quite a few!

Yup...I love that pic Kiers.

A ground capacity increase is not just an option for us but a necessity. We have a dire need to dramatically increase our revenue and close a deficit of £197.5m, to attempt to get somewhere near FFP compliance. The capital outlay won't count on the FFP balance sheet but the extra income will. We have nothing to lose.

Since 2006, our media revenues have increased by over £44m, commercial revenues have increased by over £42m but our matchday total revenue is only a paltry £26.6m, hardly any increase at all. Considering the number of increased and increased importance of those games, our individual match revenues significantly lag behind other clubs we are competing with.

Madrid...£111.6m.
The Rags...108.6m
Barca...£100m.
Arsenal...£93.1m
Chelsea...£67.5m
Bayern...£64.8m.
Spurs...£43.3m.
Liverpool...£40.9m.

For those who think we should wait until we start to get full houses, we already operate at 96% ground capacity for league games and there are plenty of games that demand outstrips supply.

Given the ground capacities of both Chelski & Spuds, it shows how reasonable our ticket prices are!!!!

Compared to them, especially Spuds we get superb value for money. Spurs are one of the most expensive bunch of failures in the Prem.
The problem we have is our need to close a huge deficit.

As I delved around those Deloitte figures, that was the most obvious area for financial improvement.
