Dr Spectrum

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Dr Spectrum

Was asked to stick this here by Wonderwall...:

I'm an administrator of newcastle-online.org; a few years ago we had a semi-regular poster called Dr Spectrum who was a Manchester City fan. He was a good poster - very insightful, full of interesting information; certainly a great representation of your supporters. A quick google search revealed that he posted on here as well:

memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=784

We've had a few nostalgic discussions lately and grew curious as to what happened to him because he just suddenly stopped posting on our forum, and more interestingly he stopped posting on your forum very shortly after he stopped posting on ours.

Any idea what happened to him? A few of the lads on ours speculated that he may have passed away (an awful thought but I guess in the world of the internet you'd never know) so I thought I'd ask here to see if we could get any confirmation that he's fine and well :)

Yeah, I spotted that. As I say, he stopped posting on our forum at roughly the same time which makes it more peculiar. Hopefully he just decided to take a break from posting on forums. :)

to be fair internet forums about football are really a time waster that most should avoid.

i think he made a wise decision and is probably a lot more productive, even if it's in the afterlife.

Do PM's go to e-mail as well on here? I didn't realise that. I'll give it a crack.

If he was in jail he'd be online more than anyone, have you seen the luxuries our prison systems have these days? He'd be viewing the forums in HD, 3D, hologram, the lot ;)

Its interesting to think that most forums or websites you subscribe to have no way of knowing if you die. In 50 years, this board will have 100000 members and 50000 will be dead, but still registered.

Regardless of Dr Speculum's whereabouts let's have a conversation here.

Fantastic season for the barcodes. Solid through the middle with some excellent buys. Pardew manager of the year. Where to next? You shifted the genius that is Joey Barton just in time. Can you hold on to the strike force and the midfielders who are so coveted? Can you purchase reinforcements again in the same ilk? What has your club done so well to strike it rich in the transfer market? Graft and personnel doing the research and due diligence for years or sheer luck? How much is Pardew to blame for those purchases? What's a good target for next season?

Please Discuss. Also get your fat bastard titays out and let's have a look if you've got them. 50/50 chance you're one of *those* fans we see on tv week after week.

Also who'd have thought mike Ashley didn't completely fuck this up? Pretty good news for football IMHO.

Welcome.

He was a good poster from what I remember.

Tell us about your club mate. The Joey experience. The hughton sacking and the French invasion.

Think you can reach higher?

That was pretty much the exact time the shaun wright philips transfer was announced.

Maybe heart attack related with what happened a couple of days later?
