The Blues will play three games in Innsbruck this month as part of the pre-season build up.

Roberto Mancini’s side will hold a closed training camp in Austria from 9 July and take on varied opposition in the Innsbruck Stadium.

First up on 13 July – just four days into the camp – is Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia in a game that will kick off at 7pm local time.

Four days later German club Dynamo Dresden, who play in the second tier of the Bundesliga, provide the opposition again at 7pm.

The final contest is against Turkish Super League side Besiktas at 6.30pm on Friday, 20 July.

All players who featured in the Euro 2012 Championships in Poland and Ukraine have three weeks holiday so the squad will build as the season comes closer.

Micah Richards will be missing as he plays for team GB in the Olympics.

After the Austria trip the Blues will travel to China to play Arsenal in the Olympic Stadium in Beijing on 27 July and from there will move on to Kuala Lumpur for a match against a Malaysian XI.

The Community Shield against Chelsea takes place at Villa Park on 12 August (1.30pm kick off). There are likely to be two more games announced shortly as will be the ticket details for the matches in Austria.

Ticket details for the games will follow later this week.

I loved that stadium before it was re-built for the Euros in Austria and Switzerland. It was small and compact and you could see the snow-clad alps towering above you all around the stadium. Innsbruck is a nice town too.
