Still cant get rid of the fucker!:

Wayne Bridge is poised to complete his surprise move from Manchester City to Brighton later today.
The former England and Chelsea defender has agreed to join Gus Poyet's Championship team in a loan deal that will run until the end of the season.

Bridge, 31, was a £10 million signing by Mark Hughes in January 2009 and once regarded as a genuine threat to Ashley Cole as England's first choice left-back.

But he fell out of favour at Manchester City spectacularly when Roberto Mancini replaced Hughes and has been loaned out to West Ham and Sunderland in the last two seasons.

Now Poyet, the Brighton manager, is set to complete an audacious swoop by taking Bridge to the Amex Stadium.

City are believed to have agreed paying a substantial amount of his £100,000 a week wages to push the deal through.

he'll be out of contract at the end of the loan - i don't expect anyone wanted to take him and his wages on permanently.

best of a poor situation - now let's see adebayor and RSC moved on.

How long until we don't have to pay him anymore? He is on par with Danny Mills.

I'd guess he's either realised this is his last season playing, or has taken a big overall cut to go there (B&HA could maybe afford £13-15K per week, plus say £45-50K from us), to both test himself on his desire to play and in the hope of attracting a contract from one of the southern Championship clubs for a couple of seasons after on around £20K...

It should hopefully serve us very well going forward. A good mistake to make early in the project.

If he keeps up his form from the past two years the front of the shirt could provide very useful for him in May.

We were all pretty happy when we signed him, infact he was the perfect left back signing from what was available at our level at the time. Little did we know how shit he'd turn out to be.

When he turned down Celtic last summer to stay in our reserves, it said alot abit his ambition as a footballer.

Atleast he's going to be playing all season. Very frustrating that the best we can do is loan him to some far lesser team and still probabl have to pay him about 90k a week. There is no way Brighton can afford much more than £10k a week on a fucking left back's wages.

It's people like bridge and ade and Santa cruz that put me off signing van persie.

Don't want to see the club get bit in the arse by a cook-esque decision.

Good point well made. Bridge is a cent, RVP is a wind up, City are rocking ...
