Just watched the CityTV interview with Vincent Kompany at the Austrian training camp and he's got such a strong Manchester accent. He says "bin" for "been" and "back" with a flat vowel. He could be on Coronation Street no problem. Have any other foreign but English-speaking players picked up the local accent? Do Balotelli and Dzeko talk like Mancs? Do Liverpool's foreign players sound Scouse, or Newcastle's sound Geordie?

I remember Jan Molby having a strong scouse accent.
