Yaya - legend - yet another pledging their future to City

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has followed boss Roberto Mancini in pledging his future to the Blues.

Mancini signed a new five-year deal with the Blues on Monday, and one of the manager's main men Toure is keen to stay at City with his manager and bring more silverware to the club.

Yaya told the club's website: "Now the manager can continue to build this club and plan for the future – let’s not forget Sir Alex Ferguson has been at Manchester United for 25 years and they haven’t done too badly over the years.

"On a personal level, I’m very happy because I want to win many more trophies with City and the manager has the same mentality as I do – he wants to win everything with this club and so do I."

This is plain wrong. Everyone knows all City stars are unsettled and want to go to Real/Barca/Bayern/Inter/Juve/Milan.

Outrageous journalism.

This is awesome news, partially because I would love to see the stadium bouncing to the Yaya - Kolo song referred to above

After years of having expectations dashed, and valued players moved on, it is pretty damn refreshing to see all these stellar individuals pledging their futures to the club.

Just think, all these crappy lazy journalistic pieces that come out, designed to unsettle our players, be it Silva, Toure, even Mancini and the Russia thing - they might annoy us, but I bet there's loads of fans of our opposition who read it with glee, only to be gutted when it emerges that our best players and our manager are going nowhere. Mint.

Although Yaya has made it clear that we are the club for him, this little snippet is more about Mancini and how driven he is to taking the club to the next level.

Yeah was wondering myself where the signed a new contract bit was - Yaya is simply saying he enjoys it at city & buys into the Mancini ethos for the club

Must be a good movie as you're posting here! ;)
I have a feeling it was a four year deal so until summer 2014. ..kind of saw it coming I'll get this one wrong so why did I even bother to guess

Edit: this BBC article says five year deal so 2015

That's correct, he's still got 3 years and I think that will be the end of his useful football life (think Paddy) in relation to him being first choice.

We all know, when he came, that he was quality but he's even shown more than that, potential, he's blossomed with us. At Barca he was one of those you could put in the 'Class' section, now you can put him in the 'World Class' section, he's been allowed to shine.

He'll be key to our CL campaign next season, can't frickin' wait.

Cheers mate! Can't really draw a negative from that, 3 years left, it just adds to the wave of positivity emanating from our club. (advert break)

He's the best player at City since Tueart. Or Bell. There's nothing like him in the game and he terrifies The Rags. Legend for sure, he's incredible. The semi, the final and then Newcastle, written large in our folklore. 3 more years of his shit. We'll win the CL and he'll score the key goal.

Yaya Toure is the most complete footballer in the world. Fact.

And he's ours. Beautiful.

You know what, I don't agree with many comments but that is the 'Mutts'.

Well said.....that man.
