Well, he might be a legend to them, but certainly not for us.
Fat Bob played too
But the real legend scored the winner, the man who in my eyes is joint no 1 legend along with Colin Bell, the one and only Goat

Gerry was brilliant. Not much talent but total commitment.

I vaguely recall a game at Maine Road (possibly against the scum) where Gow was on the bench and our lads were getting kicked all over the park.

He started to warm up and the Kippax started to chant 'let him out, let him out, let him out' (of the cage). The opposition visibly started to worry at the prospect of having to deal with Gerry as he prowled up and down the touch line. Once he entered the field of play we took control of the game and every two footed challenge from our terrier was cheered enthusiastically!

A fans player, hard and looked like he knew he was doing the best job in the world, Loved that period as a blue.
