rags have signed a seven year deal with chevrolet for shirt sponsorship.

In an entirely unrelated matter, Chevrolet have now sacked the bloke responsible for signing this deal! Even their own sponsors want fuck all to do with them.

Haven't seen an article declaring United socialists yet, but it came in the first post here.

Given the tens of billions still owed to American taxpayers, are GM still going to be around in 7 years? Seems a flagrant waste of their stimulus money, not surprised people are being fired over it.

US Automakers have actually done a great job rebuilding their brands and strategies. Ford took no money to do it. GM took loads of it.

In all honesty, if i weren't in love with my Lexus Hybrid hatch i'd have looked seriously at a Ford, which is something i never, ever, ever thought i'd say.

America isn't dead yet you bastards. We're just playing opossum in some key areas. ;)

cheers

As an Italian car lover, I would rather cut off my arms than buy an American vehicle; wouldn't touch any of them with a barge-pole but if Chrysler are now sponsoring the Scum, I just hope they go into liquidation a.s.a.p.

Uuugghhhh, no way.

Too brash and lacking in class. Give me a Lancia, an Alfa and especially a Maserati any day.

Perhaps I've been lucky but I've had an Alfa 155 for over sixteen years and I still use it every day. I've never had a single problem with it. I had an Alfa GTV6 before that and, similarly, it was completely trouble free. During this time, the lady wife has had several Fiats, all of which have been terrific and never a problem.

I think the stories still going around about the supposed unreliability of Italian cars should, instead, be directed at French cars, especially Citroens. Some of my friends have had nightmares with them and they seem to fall apart far, far quicker than most.

I'd sell my soul tomorrow for an old Maserati Shamal or a Ghibli (the 1990s version), or a Quattroporte Mk IV and I'd drive them everyday, as they were intended to be.

My mum had a GTV and had not a spot of trouble with it....bloody lovely car to drive.

I've hired a few Mustangs in the states and love them....pile of shit when it comes to actual driving experience. Appalling handling etc but the best sound ever....and I love them (when in the USA....or also somewhere like Dubai where you are just driving on what are essentially motorways all the time). Wouldn't even consider one in a country with real actual roads but still love them...Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers...all ace.

Drove to my wedding in this bad boy....

Chevrolet, which is part of GM. Don't think that includes Chrysler. It does include Vauxhall though, which is ok, as I hate them.

Got to agree with the Italian cars though. Recently gave up my Alfa GT as it was like trying to run a supermodel, but made a fantastic noise and looked gorgeous. Gone back to my 3rd fiat instead - cheaper to repair and still full of life.
