Dzeko unhappy.

Dzeko won't accept City bench role

Edin Dzeko has spoken of his frustration at Manchester City last term and suggested he may move on if things do not change.

The Bosnian forward arrived at City in January of 2011, with manager Roberto Mancini hailing him as the player who would "make the difference" in their title push.

Things did not work out as planned and it was little different last term, with Mancini preferring Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and the returning Carlos Tevez in attack.

Sitting on the bench as City won the title proved frustrating for Dzeko, who did actually score 14 goals, and with Italian clubs linked with bids, he has warned Mancini that things must change.

He said: "In the second half of last season, I suddenly got to start far fewer games - and I've got no idea why.

"I lost my rhythm. I joined City in order to play in matches. I never imagined that things would turn out the way they have.

"I am too good for the bench. If I continue to sit matches out, then anything is possible."

Can't blame him really, especially with the RVP bid.

Early exits from cups were to blame last season, this year we will use all 4 quality strikers regularly.

This is a very different attitude than the one he had just a few weeks ago, when he was happy to fight for a place.

Could be a tissue of lies made up by the press, or could be a prelude to moving out to make way for RVP.

I reckon he's on his way out as let's not pull no punches here he is a lovely lad and on his day a quality striker but he is far too inconsistent.
I'd let him go to Italy and replace him with Higuaín.

If we could nab De Rossi another defender and a quick right winger i'd be a very happy bunny.

I hope he stays and fights for his place.
He's one of the most frustrating players I've ever seen in a City shirt. To go from his goals against Spurs to not even being able to trap a ball the next match makes you want to rip your hair out!!!

I've got a good feeling about him though.

A few times the opposition have kicked off with him and he's stuck up for himself, which is rare to see from him. Against Sunderland last year a few of them surrounded him and he was ready to take them all on by himself.
That's more of what I want to see. A bit of fight. Not losing a header to Jay fuckin Spearing!!!!

Hope he stays because he adds something different from Balo, Tez, and Sergio.

Bobby is too wrapped up in the fencing to give a bollock about transfers.

Who can blame him? Those sleek fast women in that gear are compelling. I would like some bloodshed from time to time though. A little more of say John Boorman's Excalibur mixed in there. Some magic also. A dragon or two.

The women's archery should be nude just like the warrior women of old. Especially when the Mexicans are in action!

Ops, freeze this Dzeko thread now and preserve it please. I think it's the first one i've read without a comment from 'you know who' on it... It might save a big 'lost in translation' discussion later on.

Season is almost here. We will not be signing that many players. I think we'll sign one player before end of the window if that.

And if that one player is de Rossi I'll have a little sex wee in my pants.

On topic, if we sell Dzeko and replace with RVP I'd be gutted. I just think that Edin brings a lot more variety to our current strikers and I seriously reckon RVPs glass knee will return this season.
