Is it just me who feels disheartened by the lack of transfers, and do you think we will make any transfers?

Not at all mate, we've got a great progressive squad. And yes, yes we will.

Promote Razak and Suarez. Maybe sign that Biton. Use Boyata and Rekik instead Spazic. Cactus Neck is fit and hopefully won't fuck off to play golf this season. We'll be reet.

Funny thing.

Rumours flying now that we have just agreed an 18mil deal for agger.

Liverpool didn't hold out for the 22mil they wanted it... No good holding out for extra money if you have no time to spend it it seems.

i think i've made it abundantly clear that i'm fine standing pat and just hanging our unshaven, filthy bollocks out in the wind to see what wants to have sniff of them.

Top 4's the only goal, so what do I care? Hey, i bought the shirt. I'm all good.

cheers

I'm actually warming to the idea of signing Agger if we play a 3-5-2.

...................Hart....................

........Kompany Agger Lescott .........
Richards .......................... Clichy
................. Yaya .....................
.......... Silva .......... Nasri .............
............. Tevez ........................
......................Aguero ................

Would love to see that.

Does that tie in with the 3 at the back?

Agger - Vince - Joleon

Even the thought of the Dippers selling us one of their best players.

He said something about our signings being messy I think. Certainly not the quick sharp business I was expecting this window.

I'm happy with our squad, but I feel we need to sign a couple of quality players to build on the confidence from the incredible season we have just had.
The teams around us know we are good, but they have all strengthened and at the moment some may be feeling they can take us with their new additions. Lets make two/three good signings and add a little more fear and uncertainty to those around us. Let them start shitting themselves again before the league starts.

Wasn't there someone who said you don't break up a title winning squad?

im not looking to "break up the gang" but find cover where we clearly lacked it.

CB cover
midfield pace/creativity or steel...maybe one of each

and yes for the millionth time i think i was one of the first to go on record saying "let's keep all four strikers!"

but we need some cover -- 2 or 3 players. I'm not axing for a lot, homeslice.

cheers

THIS is my argument with you. The idea that the young work-in-progress squad that got 89 points last season would somehow only be good enough for fourth, without additions, is preposterous. Slim - look here the post quoted above is the definition of melodramatic...

You're sounding paranoid there mate, who's answering the Yank back? You're near full Manc in my estimation, you could live a mile away from me.

Crazy bastard.....or is it attention seeking?

Edit: Just looked back. It wasn't my fault.

I certainly hope so, I have liked it very much in pre season.

A nice ball playing CB like Agger would fit in nicely in that system.

Points aren't an accumulating snapshot. We have to earn them again this year, you ballsack.

My point is valid. We need some signings.

Do you think your precious Mancini doesn't agree? Yr wrong. He's fuming. He wants some goddamn players. Why don't u?

Our competitors are improving. We have stood pat.

Therein...the fucking dilemma my friend. It's really really really complicated shit so i can understand why it's puzzling to you.
