It's really funny to see some of the predictions flying around on various social media in forms of polls/comments/tweets etc. Here's a sample of what you see from different fans' perspectives on their respective forums/sites:

Man United Fans:

1- Man Utd
2- Chelsea
3- Arsenal
4- Man City

Chelsea Fans:

1- Chelsea
2- Man City
3- Man Utd
4- Arsenal

Arsenal Fans:

1- Man City
2- Arsenal
3- Chelsea
4- Man Utd

Liverpool Fans:

1- Man City
2- Chelsea
3- Liverpool
4- Arsenal

As expected Man Utd and Chelsea fans are more delusional than Arsenal and Liverpool ones and more self-absorbed of course ... Liverpool fans don't see the scum even in top 4, but then they had to get someone out for their own spot in there and surprisingly they aren't predicting themselves to be top or even second. No body thinks Tottenham will break into top four except maybe their own fans ...

Here's my predictions for the season:

What the head says:

1- Man City
2- Chelsea
3- Man Utd
4- Arsenal
5- Tottenham
6- Newcastle

What the heart wants:

1- Man City
2- Chelsea
3- Arsenal
4- Newcastle
5- Tottenham
6- Man Utd

PS. Even the head just can't see the scum getting to second ... one big factor, let's see how they cope with away fixtures after midweek CL games this time!!

Are you sure you have that the right way round? I think the first two are being far more realistic than the latter two!! Liverpool predictiong they will come third? Delusional indeed.

Compare the top spot alone and you see how self-absorbed they are :) You are right, but at least Arsenal and Liverpool fans see us kicking their asses ... so my comments were with reference to how they have placed us alone in the list.

this is incredibly scientific. Can you tell us how you titrated these results in your data lab for hours and hours and hours please?

There are three teams with a realistic chance of winning the league. The fans of each of those three teams predict that their team will win the league. What is delusional about that? No more delusional than a City fan placing City in the top spot at the end of the season.

Delusion is not that rags think they'll win 'their' league back but that they think Chelsea and Even Arsenal will beat us to the 2nd and 3rd spot ... that coming from them is expected, but well idiotic. While others come to terms with our arrival at this stage and the fact that we won't be a one hit wonder and are here to stay is simply not getting across to them, a little too hard to digest I guess for their pride!

This year is Liverpool's year lads.

Got a bloke at work who's a dipper and he's assured me so.

Sorry I thought you said "compare the top spot alone" and that the Chelsea fans (whose predictions are not unrealistic) are more delusional than the Liverpool fans.

This proves conclusively that all other clubs' fans are delusional while we are totally unbiased.

Taking off the city blinkers, looking at it as rationally as possible and considering the new signings of the people around us and the fact that we seem to be 'standing still' in the transfer market, add to that the history and experience of those around us, I'd have to go with

1. City
2. MCFC
3. Manchester city
4. Vincent Kompany
