Just gone to check how much the trains are for getting down to Villa Park on Sunday and felt almost robbed.

£77 is a lot more than I was expecting. Anyone got any ideas for cheaper forms of transport down there barring the obvious piss takes???

Paid 47 for my train from Preston.

Loads of people on BM seem to be on megabus though. I'm no fan of buses but i imagine you'd get a good bit of atmosphere on there and I've heard it's cheap as fuck.

There's a few coaches with space on being advertised on BM too.

On a similar note.... Where's the best place to drink? Any designated city pubs?

I paid £32.90 for a return train ticket a few weeks ago.

I booked through soccer express - not sure if there is any space but it was about £16.

you could join a supporters club, they usually run cheap coaches.
