The non-legend that is Paul Scholes

From opta sports on twitter:
Paul Scholes has now collected 91 yellow cards in the premier league, only Kevin Davies & Lee Bowyer have more. Agricultural.
This last word sums him up for me. We have been persuaded for years by the press and BBC sycophants that this baggage is a footballing colossus when the man is a thug who also turned his back on his country. Whenever I chat to a red about him they all believe he is genius made flesh but chuckle about his lack of tackling ability. My view is that he has turned this to his advantage so he can do as he pleases on the pitch.
From his Wikipedia page:
The one aspect of his game frequently criticised was his tackling, which was recognised as inept by pundits, fans and Scholes himself. In addition, the potential for malicious intent in some of his tackles has been raised; it has been suggested that he has escaped greater censure due to the admiration that pundits have for him. However, Scholes said in an interview after his retirement that the tackles were to get back at players who had fouled him earlier in the game and the infamy surrounding his tackles led to him often being unnecessarily booked.
So let's get this right. He isn't a bad tackler at all; by his own admission it's just about revenge. Well that's okay then isn't it.

Everyone knows what a dirty little twat he is. He's not even relevant anymore.

He infuriates me. There is no denying he used to be a great player, but he has always been a malicious and snide twat to go with it. One of my favourite memories is from the FA cup semi final. Nige won the ball and smashed scholes at the same time. Five minutes later, Scholes came clean through the back of Nige, and Nige got up off the floor laughing. I was hoping his last ever act as a proffessional footballer was going to be getting sent off, for the losing team in a derby at Wembley, then the cnut came out of retirement.

He's a cunt. Fucking winds me up so much that commentators and the media laugh it off.

I don't rate him, never have, never will.
The English game will be bettered when he (re)retires.

Wrong!! He should have had a red and two yellow's. One for the thigh high tackle and one for the pathetic dive which the ref bought.

It's a good question. What I wonder is this:
Does he/his dog like City because he/his dog hates United, or does he/his dog hate United because he/his dog loves City?
It's a strange time to be mithering about them, as we slowly disappear into the distance, leaving them in our wake.

Well I'm a bit older than most on here I suspect and I am as sure as shit is united and united is shit not forgetting how much I hate that club. I was hating them when the fruit boiler was in charge and if you've no idea who the fruit boiler is ask your grandad but leave me and my very angry anti red jack russell (who's called George by the way) to enjoy our happy bitterness.

You keep it going mate. I want to slate the cunts regularly for at least another 20 years, even if they don't win another trophy. If they drop two divisions, I'll leave them alone (unlike their fans with us, singing City pisstake songs in the Nou Camp when they won the treble & we were in the playoffs). Cunts.

Now that's the attitude. These so called blues who'd "rather lose a good game than win a bad one" etc can kiss my dog's furry ring piece and get back down to their shandy drinking thames rowing club cocktail hours.
