is that jovetic lad coming in then?

sinclair maybe, i dunno?

sad to see him leave, but he cared too much about the drink and the party in comparison to his football i believe.

Mancini hates that in modern players. Hates it. You can just feel it, can't you?

Good luck Adam...i'll have have a soft spot for the kid.

cheers

Wow totally shocked. Nothing in the AJ Leaving thread gave any indication that AJ was in fact leaving or in fact that the deal had been done....about three hours ago.

It's great piece of business in my view ...

City has profited from the sale, after buying him from Middlesbrough for £7m ... so replacing him with a cheaper Sinclair is great business ... both were going to sit on the bench and get a few handful of games and only come on as impact sub when pace or width was required ... and Sinclair won't mind playing that role, while AJ did ... AJ didn't have the pace SS could bring and with AJ's drinking issues I think it's a decent deal in the end for the club.

Here's AJ in his new kit:

Wasting his career away! If he had Kompany's attitude he could have been a world beater!

Whilst I don't think AJ is good enough to start regularly for us, I would like to have kept him as a squad player. Although I do understand his desire to play week-in, week-out.

If we have decided to sell him then I only hope we have held out for a considerable fee for him. If Jarvis and Fletcher have left Wolves this week for £10m+ then Johnson is worth more than that. Any fee should be at least £15m.

(I'm not saying AJ is worth £15m but in comparison to other transfers, I don't see why we can't expect that).

AJ was one of my fav players when i first started following City..but the more i learned about the club, the sport, and AJ, the more i was disappointed in his performances and attitude. he did put in some curlers though.

not really bothered that he's gone though

Johnno is a top lad and it pains me to see him in another shirt but i guess it's for the best.

Johnno will always be welcome back at the home on the Champions, top player and decent lad i wish him all the best i bet he'll be missed a lot by the squad.

The only thing I'm bothered about is that he usually got us 3 or 4 penalties a year. In games when we're struggling to break down a side that pen would set us off to a comfortable win.

Great footballer. Shit attitude. The fact that he's taken such a step down, for me, proves that he's not enough of a grafter to make it at our level, so fair enough. I just wish he had bigger balls.

I like the Mackems though, hope he does well at the club he supports, and that the inevitable goal he bags against us, is merely a consolation.

Good luck to him (apart from when plays against us, where I hope he has shocker), but like many have said, he could have been a really good player, but unfortunately we have heard the stories of a bad attitude and his desire to get smashed rather than his listen to boss and produce consistently good performances.

believe so..but Silva is more acclimated to the squad and country now so he'll be fine.
such is the life of a footballer...

All the best AJ.

Some crucial moments helping us to become Champions. Hope you fulfil your obvious potential.

AJ was mates with Milner, Barry and Hart (as seen by the video with the "Uni cunts")

You know what, I've just had a look over a few of AJ's goals and quite a few times after he scored he pulled on his badge as if to say "I'm one of yous!"
Fuming that he couldn't have put the effort in and got his head down and become the player we all know he could be.
