Was at the game today, sat behind the goal 2 rows back, I was sat behind him, he was with his bird, and had to keep sitting down due to his injury, top lad, shook his hand before he left at fulltime and he stated he wants to play, seems to really love this club wished him all the best, nice to see players sitting in the crowd and getting involved with a couple of chants, although his accent was a little hard to understand during noisy parts of the game!

Fair play to him if this is true. Couldn't see Tevez or Yaya sitting with the fans.

Would love to see more of him in the first team this season.

I reckon he could do a job for us and offer something that Balotelli and Dzeko don't.

It was deffinitley him, He tweeted this morning he was going to the game for anyone that thinks im bullshitting, I'm supprised it hasnt been mentioned on here or bluemong, he seemed quiet and wanted to keep his head down I think...only a few blues spoke to him and he shook their hand with a smile, I hope he gets a chance, he said something like 'I could score 20 goals a season and still wont be guarenteed a place in this side,I need to play' his bird is fit aswell and his rolex was class.

He's a very likeable guy. They really liked him at Feyenoord as well. Knows what to say and got the crowd behind him through words and hard work. The latter being key.

That's his biggest asset imo. He certainly has a decent amount of talent but not the natural talent or athleticism of some. But, he is almost manic in his desire to improve. Imo, someone of limited ability can sometimes make themselves into a useful or even a top player just by working on stuff & perfecting aspects of their game. Beckham springs to mind as oppsed to David Bentley, who has more talent but no dedication.

I think most footballers are flawed & lazy in that respect & could be 50% better if they could be arsed working on stuff, but most can't.

Guidetti will try & try to improve, (especially if Mancini or another top manager was to tell him things to work on) & that gives him a chance, either at City or elsewhere.

Just to add; Craig Johnson was an example of a player who got to the top by sheer hard work & practice.

That was a point I made a while back when comparing Messi to (the fake) Ronaldo, if you dropped both of them onto different deserted islands for ten years away from training and football then put them back onto a pitch untrained Messi would still be capable of creating some magic because he was born with it (assuming he had enough stamina to last some time into the game) whereas Ronaldo would have lost it all due to getting to where he is right now through an obsessive desire to train and train and train. In short, mental attitude can make up for a lack of natural talent to a point (Ronaldo and Beckham being two extreme examples).

I don't like that cunt one bit but Tranaldo is one of the most instinctive footballers around there. His free kicks are clearly a result of lot of training but his open field play isn't.
Also, I think both Tranaldo and Messi train extremely hard.

I think Messi would be chubby little bastard if he didn't play football.
He will swell up like Maradona once he quits.
