WTF! Sure he's not the same player he was a year or 2 ago, but is one of the best players at protecting the defense in the world. Was one of my favorite City players. Very, very sad to see him go

I guess we feel we bought Rodwell as the heir apparent to Nigel with a few more attacking qualities, etc.

Can't believe this is happening!

I am heartbroken about this and just don't understand the logic behind it. What is going on at the club, we seem to be going backwards not forwards and its starting to become a worry for me.

Only way this makes sense is if we have someone CLASS coming in.

And for the grand total of £3.5m apparently - difficult to make sense of this. As has already been said, would be better value to wipe off the transfer fee and keep him for a year.

If Barry or Rodwell get injured we are bolloxed. And not sure about you but I don't trust Rodwell (yet) to perform NDJ's role protecting the back four.

Aye we should've signed buffon to be our 3rd choice keeper. Calm down.
Dunno what's going on behind the scenes though, noone does. Maybe nige wants 200k a week and a 5 year deal. He's not gunna get that so this is the last time we can sell. 3mil is fuck all but its more than 0. Who exactly is gunna spend a decent sum on an ageing player in his last contract year? Tough to get a good fee.
