QPR got Sir Joseph out of the country so I reckon that's the best bit of business for everyone.

co-sign. did they end up getting moutinho or not? i've heard conflicting reports.

i'll have to wait to see nastasic and garcia in action before i pass judgment on our window. on paper it looks like we covered all the areas that need covering, but i'm wary about expecting a teenage centre half to contribute in a meaningful way. which i think he will, especially in January.

they had a hell of a window - you didn't mention adebayor (who knows which one will show up now that he's signed on a permanent deal), vertonghen, and sigurdsson.

plus they shipped a lot of dead weight as well - bassong, dos santos, corluka, and i would even throw in VDV (who is really good at what he does but really needs a formation built around him to succeed - much like stephen ireland).

and i'm pretty sure their net spend is negative - i'm really pleased with our window, but i'd say they outdid us just a bit. then again, they had a lot of ground to make up.

Hadn't heard about vdv. Missing CL is tough for them.

As long as David Lulz still gets a shirt, I wouldn't call that good business, nevermind the best.

Is that good business? They have not recieved a penny for any of those players.Hazard is the only player that will improve on what they already have and they have spent a tidy sum.

I think of all the clubs in the entire country, we are the last ones to be pointing out how little they got for their outgoings. The only one I couldn't understand was Bosingwa tbh. Essien and Drogba were a spent force and I think Kalou is well within the bracket of Walcott/Lennon/AJ for looking full of promise and delivering little. Hazard is a fantastic player, we know Moses is good from his time at Wigan and Palace. Marin and Oscar have bags of potential and many years in them.

if you're listing Essien then you should include Benayoun, Kakuta, De Bruyne, Lukaku, and Chalobah to that "out" list of yours

Plus Ade and Vertonghen and Sigurdsson, who is gonna be good for him if he can get a place now.
Can see their midfield looking like this:

--------------Back 5
-------Dembele---Sandro
Lennon/Sig---Dempsey----Bale

Spurs did some good incoming business for me as well - Lloris at 8m and Ade at 5m are bargains. I really rate Dembele, too. Sigurdsson and Dempsey did well last year. Many on here wanted Vertonghen, too. Plus Levy got a good price for Modric and pissed off Liverpool with both Sigurdsson and Dempsey.

Not sure why VDV left, though.

Slim they did not get a rex for any of those players.I am not convinced any of the others will make an impact especially Moses. It's fade to obscurity time for him.

You're not convinced Hazard will make an impact?
