Us,Chelsea and the rags

Having seen all 3 defences play this season i would say that we are all as bad as each other at the moment. In fact Arsenal probably have the better defence at this stage of proceedings and yes i know it's early in the season but our defence is not league winning standard by a long way at the moment.Mancini needs to get Clichy back in at left back as i think Lescott is getting pulled out of position covering for Kolarov too much.Discuss?

I agree to an extent but I do feel that if we would have put the southampton game and the QPR game to bed early on (as we clearly should have) we would not have been under any defensive pressure late on.

We need to kill these games off before we end up paying for it.

Rags & Chelsea look far far worse than us defensively imo, not just in the back 4 but throughout the team & they don't have any players to change it. We do.

Kolarov is just a liability who will struggle against anybody with even the slightest ability or pace when 1v1.

Arsenal will get turned over by someone like Norwich in the next few weeks.

I think it goes to show how important Barry is for us. He covers so much ground in the middle, and despite having no pace, always ensures he's in the right position at the right time.

Once he's back, I think things will be fine.

Although, even if he's not back for a while, if Mancini sticks to 4 at the back and plays Clichy instead of Kolarov then things will soon improve on what they are now.

Agree with all of these posts. Arsenal looked good though. Especially going forward. If Diaby stays fit, they could do well.

We need Barry back. When he is playing the defence has less to do and therefore looks better.

Rags are fucked in midfield and at the back with a mix of over-aged and over-rated players.

Chelsea have attacking firepower and will put up some big scores, but do look shite when trying to defend. Mikel isn't up to the task, Terry gets found out way too often, sideshow bob is a liability when defending, ashley cole goes missing, and cahill isn't good enough. Still not convinced that Torres is able to keep good enough form for a whole season to keep chelsea in it. But Hazard looks brillant and they will create chances. Luckly Mancini has more tactical awareness in one finger than Di Matteo does in his whole body.

Think our summer signings were brillant additions to the squad and will fill in nicely in due time. We got one of the best young CBs, two solid DMs, an experienced wing back, and a fast winger. The rags won't get better, they don't have the players too. They've already spent too long swimming above their ability. Chelsea will gel attacking wise and look dangerous, but it's defense that wins championships.

I disagree, their defending must be the best as Baconface says "Johnny Evans is arguably the best defender in the Premiership" and has yet to step off the bench. Cleary if the best defenser in the BPL is on the bench, they are very very good.

Yes, that's it....have a go at someone and spell Barclays wrong.

And who the fuck calls it the BPL? Don't like EPL either, and certainly don't like Premiership.

Don 't think it's to much to worry about this early in the season when we have been trying new things. If it carries on for more games then maybe we should start worrying.I also think Chavski arn't as bad as some on here are saying.

I reckon, Gill, KHR, Arsene and Twatini will prevent Chelsea through the Almighty FFPR.
but in case I'm wrong, I still don't give a flying ...., because, all considered, MCFC are the best side in the whole world and become better from season to season.

Btw, while having dinner I was zapping and landed on a studio chat on SSN Italia.
There was mr. Marianella, as guest star pundit, long lasting main EPL commentator for them. This bloke is a self confessed Gunners who owns a flat in London but, as for every Sky employee, You don't miss a single match commentary by him without listening a serial wankfest on "the Manchester" and the newly incarnated Jesus Christ of Football, Sir Slur Taggart!... :( [huge sickness]
Now, they were talking about qualifying chances out of each CL group and the race for the Title in the Prem.
He went out wanking about Maureen, Tranny & Co., how good Dortmund are (which sadly is very true) just to end with.... it's my opinion that only one thing is for granted, ManCity will go through that group.
Then moving to the Premiership, and commenting specifically of Maicon leaving Inter Milan in quite a bitter mood, he started another multiple wank on Taggart, Wooney and Van Pussy, getting across the very entertaining football of Chealsky, noting that they have redundancy of highly qualified personnel who can only play one style of football (Plan A and no other option) just to end stating:
"to me City were already huge favorite by a country mile even before the last additions"....
Moral: Happy Days indeed, if even the most red tinted tossers start to ackowledge City. I know it's just overseas, but it's a true sign of the times to come.... You didn't hear any different than Motd & Co. by this piece of shite till last season.
