They mentioned it on Blue Tuesday as well. Also they called gillie, "jillie". Well the woman on there did and she gets the names wrong of everyone, so you are in the illustrious company of Maicon which she butchered the week before.

Or should that be jiggle?

I've always pronounced it in my head as 'Jillie', and still do. Only time I've heard it otherwise pronounced was when I met up with people for the Wigan game a few seasons back...

Pronouncing Carlitos as "Carly toss" was one of her funniest.

People who are employed to speak publically and have no idea how to pronounce what they are talking about shouldn't be in that job, pure and simple. It especially annoys me with commentators.

Don't mean to sound harsh, but SACK HER AT ONCE.

I find it funny and endearing

You probably would as well if you went for the operation and had the stick removed, topical cream is not the answer with a stick that large.

Hahaha, well, you obviously have such a big heart and warm generous spirit, as your every post illustrates.

If you find having a striker called Curly-toes TV's warm and endearing, then good for you, you big soft fuzzy ball of love.

Do me a favour.

I am not sure whether a proctologist or an arborist is what you need, it appears to have taken root.

Haha. Believe me, there's nowt up there. Been off work today with food-poisoning, and jetting out the rear end like a fire-hose draining a sewage farm.

To be fair, the 'SACK HER AT ONCE' was meant to be tongue in cheek. I suppose it can be slightly humorous, to a point, to hear someone continually mispronounce things, it has a certain colloquial charm - which on a local radio station is no big deal I SUPPOSE. Jesus.

Unless she keeps getting the same thing wrong over and over again. In which case SACK HER AT ONCE, AND GIVE BIRCH HER IN THE STREET.

And the point still stands re commentators.
