This is really on my mind after the Stoke game. I saw Pulis team with the big boys the last two years and they not even once had a performance like they had Saturday, from minute one, they parked the bus and hope for the best.
The same goes with QPR and Southampton and even a bit Scouse. Again, the last home at Scouse, they attacked us from every angle. This season, they scored two shitty goals and tried to get a point from the game. They just started the game and hope for the best.

I don't dislike this, however, as i recall we accused our neighbours of doing the same, but this is somehow a bit different. They look genuine afraid of us, instead with filth, they just want to be old Taggart's friend.

I think Stoke have generally always given the 'big boys' a game. Like others they tend to fucl up against the teams lower or on their level. I don't subscribe to this teams rolling over bollox tbh, they are pro's that want to win every game (even if it looks like they don't at times). In time, if we carry on winning things, we will get a bit of that 'fear' factor but at present we are just the new champions that everyone, quite rightly, willl raise their game for.

Is it do they roll over for us or do they roll over us?

Depends what you mean; if a team like Norwich a game against us on a Sunday, followed by a midweek game against Villa, I'd expect them to rest a few key players against us...

The thing is that many of them changed attitude when they play us. When they come on Eastlands is that they know they won't get any, so they just park the bus and hope for the best. Que sera sera and this happens more often when we play away.

I didn't see this outcome when Chelsea won the league with Ancelotti and not even with Maureen. Are we that good?

I think it's more a case that we play a free-flowing type of football, which is more easily stifled than Chelsea's approach or United's 'nick it at the end' tactic. We're too 'new' a team to have a fully-fledged Plan B or C at the moment, which is what other teams seem to have discovered.

I think its more of a case that you notice it more when its your team. Loads of Chelsea fans round my way were saying exactly the same thing the season after they first won it under Maureen ... goes with the territory really

I dont like watch Stoke at all , they play rugby with long balls almost all the time, if u se three short pass from them u are lucky.All clubs wanna to chalenge make Champions in all leugues is like that.

When the position was reversed, we were charged more and attendances were higher.

Did we roll over, did we fuck? We upped our game. We'd have done better probably, but that's not how we rolled and fans didn't complain about that (they complained about other things).

Stoke are the same. They don't get into fights to win them, they want to give their opponent a bloody nose. A few good days out means more than the different between 12th and 14th.

Rolling over against us. I think it would be the opposite!

The only example of this I have seen is Stoke at home last season. They was utterly spineless.

Also, talk to most United fans and it's gospel that QPR rolled over for us once they were safe...

That's true as well but that's exactly why I hated our early schedual with supposed "easy games". When season kicks off everyone has high hopes and these teams will overperform against better teams. Once reality hits in around november, at least mentally, they will start to concentrate on games they can win.

It took Southampton 2.7 games, when they suddenly realised they were comfortably beating Manchester Utd & decided they had better shit their pants & start playing like a team who was going to come last. Now they are in that comfort zone of failure.
