Yes, it's early, I just wanted to get the feckin' stars right!

I've not read [urlnp=http://mancityfans.net/news/]Peter Parkers Preview [/urlnp]yet, I like to save them for matchday. However, here's the one from the Beeb, definately won't be as good as I'm sure it's a Gooner who writes them.

TEAM NEWS

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri looks set to miss Sunday's Premier League match with former club Arsenal.

Nasri strained his hamstring during the 3-2 Champions League defeat at Real Madrid, but forwards Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli are available.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is again sidelined by an ankle injury so Vito Mannone will continue in goal.

The game will come too soon for Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong, who are back in training after long lay-offs.

Nasri, who moved from Arsenal to City last summer in a £25m deal, is not expected to be sidelined for long.

City manager Roberto Mancini said: "I do not think he will be ready for Sunday. We will try but it is difficult. I hope he will be okay for next week."

MATCH PREVIEW

Joe Hart might have been angry, but Yaya Toure saw the positives after Manchester City's dramatic defeat in Madrid on Tuesday. "We're already better than we were last year" was the Ivorian's upbeat progress report after a match in which he himself was almost unstoppable when powering forward.

LAWRO'S PREDICTION

"The Gunners have had a great start to the season and will be full of confidence although I have to say that on Tuesday against Montpellier, Per Mertesacker got away with a couple of things in that game which I think the likes of Carlos Tevez will punish him for."

With nine goals scored in their first four Premier League games, going forward is not a problem generally for City - but improvement defensively is needed. Yet to keep a clean sheet this season, the champions have conceded two or more goals in four of six games played in all competitions, and the defence does not look quite settled at the moment.

The same back four (or three or five!) have not started successive games yet and new recruits Maicon and Matija Nastasic will undoubtedly need time to bed in. I actually thought Nastastic had a fine debut at the Bernabeu and at 19 is a great prospect.

Real were a test and Arsenal will not be much less of one. Remember three weeks ago when they had not scored in their opening two games? Some were worried then that the goals would not come post-Robin van Persie, but with 10 strikes in the last three matches they most certainly have.

Gervinho's three in the last two mean he only needs one more goal to match his total last season; Lukas Podolski has hit the ground running; and Santi Cazorla has been my player of the fledgling Premier League season.

The teams have had matching starts (W2, D2), yet it is a measure of how the power has shifted and expectations changed that we tend to view City's start to the season as 'indifferent' while hailing Arsenal's as 'promising'.

Three games between the clubs last season all ended 1-0, with the Gunners' sole win in April almost ending City's title challenge. Could they now end their remarkable run of 31 home league games without defeat?

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

•Arsenal have failed to score in five of their last seven matches against Manchester City in all competitions, while City have been unable to score in four of the last five league meetings.

•City have won four of their last five home games against Arsenal in all competitions.

•The last four league meetings between the sides have produced four red cards (including three shown to City players).

Manchester City

•Man City have conceded six goals in their opening four league games - more than 20% of last season's total of 29 goals conceded.

•They have let in 13 goals in their last seven league and cup games (including the Community Shield).

•City are unbeaten in 10 league games since losing 1-0 at Arsenal on 8 April (W8, D2).

•Roberto Mancini's men are unbeaten in 31 Premier League matches at the Etihad Stadium, winning 29. Fulham and Sunderland are the only sides to claim a point there since December 2010.

Arsenal

•Arsene Wenger's side are unbeaten in nine league and cup games (W4, D5). Their last reverse was the home loss to Wigan on 16 April.

•The 6-1 win against Southampton was Arsenal's biggest victory since a 7-1 thrashing of Blackburn on 4 February.

•Andrey Arshavin could make his 100th Premier League appearance.

•Prior to this weekend, Opta statistics show that Santi Cazorla has created more scoring chances for team-mates from open play (14) than any other player.

Aguero being injured and bob picking his little bum boy Balotelli over an in form dzeko hasn't helped matters either.

Anyway I doubt we will see the same back 4 as Tuesday but probably our old proper back 4 which will be nice.

Finally, someone has got their shit together and produced a match thread and I don't need to piss about with fucking stars. ;-)

Come on boys. Three points today.

Hart
Zabba Company Lescott Kolarov
Silva Yaya Barry Sinclair
Tevez Dzeko

That's how would I do it.
Although I was thinking about Rodwell also maybe instead of Silva at the beginning.

Come on lads, bring home the bacon with the 3 points today! I'm going for 2-1 but I'd much prefer a 1-0...

Have to say I'm feeling quite anxious about this game.Arsenal always seem to save their best football for us.I really hope Mancini gets the team selection right, Edin deserves a start today.Really want all 3 points today.

Yeah mate, think Arsenal have been trying to prove something to all the ex-gooners in our squad over the last few seasons.... We had the last laugh though by lifting the bling in the last 2 years.

I'm praying Bobby Manc gets it right today, no more of this 3-5-2 bollocks. And it's almost time for him to get the scarf out...

I've put 2-1 & 4-1 on. 7/1 & 25/1 respectively.
Settle for 3-0 though.

Am looking forward to seeing how they play, given their new-found cohesion as a team. But I'm going for a 3-1 win to us, minimum.

-----------------Hart

Zaba kompany lescott clichy

-------Garcia -------Barry
-----------------yaya
-----Tevez -------------silva

--------------Aguero

That is what I would like to see today.

------------------hart

Zaba kompany lescott clichy

-----------------Barry
-------Rodwell------ yaya
----------------silva
----------tevez aguero

This is what I think we will do. Can't imagine Garcia playing 3 games straight. I really hope Sinclair doesn't start. Don't rate him at all.

Barry can't play surely??! He hasn't had a pre-season and just completed his first match (and played badly) a couple of days ago.

Aye you'd think that, but Barry seems to be one of the first on Bobs team sheet when available, even when not FULLY fit.

Rumours circulating that Nasti will start

Hart, Maicon, Kompany, Nasti, Clichy, Garcia, Yaya, Barry, Silva, Aguero, Tevez

That's my guess rather than my choice
