Hopefully we try and get a few things sorted out here, I would like Aguero to start to get some match fitness, Silva to start to see if he can regain some of his brilliant form and Garcia to get used to the PL clubs.

I think we'll see a much changed team with the following getting starts

Barry
Nasti
Balotelli
Tevez
Rodwell
Sinclair
Kolarov
Pants
Kolo

I don't and I doubt things will be sorted here as you are implying as most of the line-up will be players who didn't play on Sunday or who only came off the bench for a short period of time.
Aguero - has just come back from a knee injury, he did quite well on Sunday and got 85 mins. Starting him again 48 hours later would be a mistake and risking further injury.
Silva - should not be involved. Let him rest and train ahead of Saturday's league game at Fulham. Especially with Nasri injured, cannot afford Silva out aswell.
Garcia - has only just arrived at City in recent weeks and played 3 games in a week last week, with all of them being hugely demanding. He will realise what the Prem League is about and looks a good player, however, in the second half on Sunday you could tell the pace of the game had caught up with him as had his exertions in Madrid from Tuesday. Should not be playing tonight.

With Milner, Maicon injured, the following should form part of the side:

The likes of Pantillimon, Nastasic, Kolarov, Kolo Toure, Rodwell, Tevez, Balotelli, Sinclair, Barry - get him more useful minutes under his belt after 4 months out.

City will be on Radio Manchester, aside from that I am not surprised Leeds-Everton has been selected for 5 Live.

Wonder what the attendance will be? Be surprised if Villa bring more than a 1000. I reckon overall it'll be 25-30,000 as the 3rd tiers are closed on both sides.

Whatever side is picked I just hope that it is good enough to win the match in one game as we can do without replays ...

Imo Garcia should play tonight & his performance should determine whether he plays v Fulham. If he can't hack it v Villa, he needs time out.

Mancini has said "I will change all the players if its possible", so think you're right about Javi

I'd go for:

Pantilimon
Zabaleta (have we got another right back available? Wabara is on loan at Oldham)
Kolo
Nastasic
Kolarov
Barry
Rodwell
Suarez
Sinclair
Balotelli
Tevez

Not a bad team that.

For me it's one of the most important games of the season, sounds weird but i comes down to me and my boys plans for the week comencing the 28th of october. It is absolutely vital that we progress to round four.Otherwise we just have the Swansea game and a very doubtfull West Ham away to look forward to. Got to sneak in at home end if no other options availible. A see ticketmaster and others sell ticket for West Ham away starting price £135 a ticket! How can those agencys provide tickets. Is it that that is called corporate tickets?
CTID!!

No replays in the League Cup, worse case scenario is extra time and penalties
