our italian defensive coach who apparently speaks no english so has to rely on a translator...

doug - what's this guy like? are there any comms issues that might explain our recent love of letting the opposition score?

I was referring to this on another thread. Imo we are doing one or two things differently as a team, not just in the formations & I'm wondering if it's because of his input. Either way, Mancini has to decide whether to go back to basics or whether to continue down the same path until we (hopefully) get it right.

I don't see what difference it makes whethr he can speak English or not. He can just tell Mancini what he thinks we should do & Mancini can take the session.

why have we changed our defensive coach seeing as we had the best defence?

think that being able to speak the lingo (what a cunt) makes a huge difference. granted training is like a UN convention but english will be the language the they all communicate in. if one of the main coaches can't speaka de engleesh, it's a big problem for me. how will he get his points over quickly? situations at top flight level change in the blink of an eye. by the time he's seen something and had it translated, play will have moved on.....

As far as I am aware this is complete garbage. This new fella has been around the training sessions but doesn't take any of them whether defensive or not.As Ted suggests he might have some input (into something) but all he would do is make suggestions to Mancini and leave the boss to run the sessions.I have only ever seen Mancini take the training sessions which involve any kind of tactics.

Anyone know where this urban myth started? If it's in the media then shame on you for even half believing it.If it's some plonker on BMoon throwing it out as a possibility then even more shame on anyone for believing it. (although no surprise as it would be a massive growing thread on BMoon.)

there was an article in yesterday's times (can't link due to times being subs only) that was inferring that our defensive issues were in part down to his appointment...

As if they would know what his input is.

Whatever he does, it's what Mancini wants.

In my opinion it's not down to tactics it's players form, Kompany still isn't fit in my opinion he has never had opportunity to recover from the calf pull he got in China. Joe was pretty poor against Southampton. The Villa game was awful from Pantillimon. Arsenal deserved a goal, they are a good side. Real Madrid are Real Madrid.

Everyone stop panicking it will come good.

Has to come to this, but some italian blues out here may confirm it.

He was sacked from Reggina because their defence was beyond shit and they missed promotion last year?

It seems like since he came here, all hell broke loose.
