Reports are we also had Hazard and his agent at the derby last season we had him at the training ground showed him round the nicest parts to live and he still didnt sign.

Just watched the Atletico game, he looks like a decent bet for a Premier League success. I hope he likes rain.

Haven't seen a lot of Falcao so greater experts than myself can correct me at will, if necessary, but I find him a bit of a puzzle.

Although in and around the box he's electric, when he comes deeper to look for the ball or to get involved with the build up play, his ball control seems to leave a lot to be desired and he needlessly loses possession for his team.

I just feel he's a bit of a footballing Jekyll and Hyde and I'm not sure he'd fit into the style of play Bob wants, however, I did say I've not seen a lot of him so I'm quite happy to be corrected if this impression is erroneous.

I've not seen that much of him either, just a couple of European games plus today - he's a physical pacey player who worked hard to the final whistle and never went missing despite being double marked for most of the match (but still gave a darned good account of himself) - and took more than his fair share of knocks without complaining.

I would shit if we signed Falcao, the guy is immense! He's been consistently scoring for the past 3-4 seasons. He ripped Chelsea apart in the super cup

Edit - Just seen Roque scored in that game tonight too. Maybe he's bringing him back?

So pretty much the polar opposite of SuperMario.

That might just be the plan, Mancini might have had his fill of balo and look to replace him in jan. of our 4 strikers he is the most likely to be moved on at this time.

Unless there's a written transfer request, I wouldn't sell Dzeko. He has knack for important goals and offers us something else especially against tired defences.

I've given up on Balotelli so he can go as far as I'm concerned.

Don't get the point of bringing starting calibre striker though.

The main thing about Balotelli (& all the bollocks about him trying harder for Italy) is that Italy whack occasional longish, & early balls for him to chase, down the middle, over the top. That's when he looks dangerous. We rarely play any such passes & if we do, it's too late. I've seen him shout for it & argue at half time for such a pass rather than a header. We play the ball to his feet or to the top of his head. He does ok in that respect (much better than people are suggesting) & doesn't lose possession any more than any of the other strikers (just that people are waiting to jump on him for it) & has nobody working with him when he plays striker. Aguero & Tevez only pass to each other & to the midfield. What exactly are we hoping for Mario to do in our team ?

He's a big strong unit but not a target man, he needs to be going towards goal but we don't ever play that way & Aguero won't play him or Dzeko in, will run himself instead. Dzeko is much more likely to nick a goal, so his role is obvious. Mario doersn't have the quick feet for the little Argentinian/Barca style flicky stuff. What is Mario's role, even if he's on top form ?

That brings us to Falcao; much better suited to the style we play & could play as one of 3, with Aguero & Tevez but also probably the best attacking header of a ball in the world.

Unfortunately, it is more likely to be Dzeko who gets replaced should we sign him.

Baring in mind the fact that Falcao is likely to cost £40 mil & is 27 years old, we already have 4 strikers, Mancini likes versatile players, here is my idea for an alternative possibility why Mancini may be watching Atletico.

Ladyman, Ogden, Bernstein etc, feel free to steal this idea, as you always do from places like here & Bluemoon because you are fucking useless, & create your 'exclusives' come December.

Yes but I actually feel there is a strong possibility, as in my post above, that Falcao may not be our only reason for watching Atletico.

When I saw this bloke, he wasn't playing striker as in most of the Youtube stuff, but more of a Silva, AJ, Hazard etc role & I though 'who the fuck is this, he looks ideal for us'.

Clearly by the Youtube vids, he can play striker, but that's not what impressed me when I saw him. Atletico are rumoured to need money, they would like to keep Falcao, Mancini is happy to be seen in public 'obviously' scouting Falcao.

Could be something different.

Thinking maybe if we did go for him. After a season of rotation and being brought up to speed with out play we would sell tevez.

Would make sense because mario and dzeko although good players are not going to score us 30 a season and tevez is a cunt, in a good mood at the minute, but a cunt non the less. I doubt he would come to be the third striker either.
