I am the only one who thinks we should make a bid for him? I think he is going to be a star for many years

Looks good but it could go either way for me. I dont think hes super fast and he looks lightweight. His positioning will improve I guess. Hes not Naymar despite the hair thing.

but as much as Scouse1 seems to turn into Scouse2 and all that, I very much doubt they are gonna sell their best prospects to Clubs they still perceive as direct competitors for big honours.

You certainly have a strong point: theoretically would have been a far better prospect that AJ, Sinclair or Moses.

We were linked with him for ages when he was younger and at qpr, im not mad on those type of wingers like Lennon Walcott etc if he can add more than them then maybe n afew years yes.

Looks promising but a year trying to get in our reserve team, with Scapuzzi keeping him on the bench, would soon put paid to that.

According to a QPR supporting mate he is actually a red Scouse fan and signed because of a huge personal effort by Dalglish so it is doubtful that he would move anytime soon. Probably in a few years when he realises what we all know that their immediate chances of major success are not that high.

i'd prefer us to go after raheem sterling.

This might sound daft, but I truly believe the way we go nuts for a tricky or pacy winger is a big part of why the national tram suck so bad. Let's stop encouraging our players to excel in a role that doesn't exist in most top teams anymore. 442 with two quick wingers might excite people, but it rarely wins you anything. Look at the list of players that have been built up here in the last decade or so and tell me which would make Barcelona or Spain's team?

They generally don't play with outside players, neither does anyone else nowadays, apart from the odd-time for a change of idea/ pace late in the game. Used to love Peter Barnes, me.
Genuinely think Sterling is better than all of those listed, but as with all young players, he may or may not develop further into a real world-class talent.
Other points: spelling Nazis on proper names. why?
do we have a national tram? should we? might save our dependence on foreign oil, etc.

Bentley should have been top class. Fantastic ability. Big headed wanker.

Bale is a great player but Welsh.

The rest are brainless, clueless, runners, apart from Sterling, who does appear to have a brain, so has a chance.

Jermaine Pennant & Kieran Richardson could also go in that list.

i disagree and you can call me pedantic but if you're going to start a topic about a specific player then the least you can do is spell his name correctly...

Why?

Only time you need to spell something correctly rather than phonetically is when you make your living from the written word - and most of those chumps fail miserably.

The only reason Sterling is playing every week is because Rogers has no choice, there is no other attacking player he can play. If he is given a few quid in January to spend, you will see Sterling play more of a bit part role. I think he is ok, but not as special as was made out when he was a supposed wonderkid.

He's one of their best players - consistently performing in big matches at a young age, that makes him exceptional. The guy doesn't get phased by anything.
